    Rove blasts warrantless wiretapping decision

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Presidential adviser Karl Rove criticized a federal judge's order for an immediate end to the government's warrantless surveillance program, saying Wednesday such a program might have prevented the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

As I was rudely awaken this morning by our radio alarm, I got an earful of some FM talk radio right wingnut musings. The host was quite upset by this decision, to put it mildly. "liberal activist judges" phrase was invoked!!!

After turning the dribble off, I was left thinking the only people who could really buy this Rovian talking point nonsense were mindless not-so-rational partisans.

The big kicker was that the radio host lamented about the balance of powers, saying that liberal activist judges with life long terms were unaccountable. All the while, W and his admin are divising ways to stay unaccountable until Jan 2009. What a bad joke. Somebody wake me, I must be in a dream ;)
