maybe they're trying to build an attractive team for a suitor like Washington, D.C. or Portland?? i'm with you...i don't know what they're doing.
Yea, I think he is because he talked about how handsome A-Rod is. But I agree that it has gone on long enough....enough already, robbie.
Thank you, he complians about people complaining about race issues, and when no one is complaining he jokes about it. And he claims everyone else is hung up on race. What a dumbass. And it wasn't funny.
Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Sorry I didn't put little winks and whatnot in my post so everyone would understand the transparent sarcasm. Some people need to lighten up. I had people believing me and you just got pissy. I only kept it going because people still thought I was serious, I don't even know how, and it was making me laugh my ass off. I mean come on the reference to Hideki Irabu should have given it away. If not that then A-Rod's amazing contract. If not that then Raffy going into early retirement to become a Viagra salesman. Or even the first post where I said Urbina isn't Puerto Rican, but Venezuela is close enough. They are like a 1000 miles away. Sorry, I just got a little to into the conspiracy talk after someone in GARM posted that Steve flat out refusing to pass to Boki is the real reason Boki didn't play and he hoped no one really believed Boki's "injury" was really an issue. Also, whenever Sheffield and Pedro were claiming baseball was out to get Sosa got me feeling the conspiracy talk and it was fun acting like someone who believed it and spouted it. It's funny...things have got so ridiculous that people were actually believing me.
Also, if you don't understand what Minaya is doing then I don't know what to tell you. They are trying to break the cycle of being the team that is forced to trade away its good players for prospects and instead playing with the win it now mentality. They have a nothing to lose mentality for the right reasons. Isn't this Vlad's last year of his 5 year deal? Do you really think the Expos can keep him? Vazquez is arbitration eligible meaning he is gone. I believe Vidro is gone after this year too. Hell, the Expos organization in general is almost gone. What is the point of them waiting longer on prospects and becoming little more than a minor league franchise again? McKinnley is in his 5th year of minor leagues after being a 1st round pick. Song is pitching well, but the Expos already have a good amount of pitching even without Armas. When Biddle faulters they have a real closer in Scott Stewart who can takeover. My point is...the Expos are losing their best players next year and they are saying to hell with it we are going for it. You know maybe it would be smarter for them to trade away Vazquez, Vlad, and Vidro this year for some amazing minor league talent, but thats what they have been doing for years now. What's the point of doing it again when the franchise is in jeopardy and is controlled by the owners. The Expos have the best shot at winning it now for the 1st time since when they were screwed by the strike in 1994. What they are doing is great and I love it.
The way I read his post was that Everett wasn't producing. Not to be anal, but "get something out of someone" refers to production while "get something for someone" refers to a trade.
Well if you don't want to be anal then I won't be anal and say that it's pretty clear if we are talking about a trade (Juan Gone to the Expos) and if a player is on the trading block (Everett) and if that player is already producing well this year (18 hrs, 51 rbis, .287 BA) then the person is probably talking about a trade and not about his stats.
