J.R Smith has the lowest IQ in the NBA and I don't even think it's close, the only guy I think coming in is either Matt Barnes, Travis Outlaw or Tyrus Thomas.

Who cares about IQ when he is one of the most offensively efficient wing players in the nba?

In response to certain posters doing the whole post-loss bashing and "what have you done for me lately?" type stuff -- keep doing your thing. Arguably the best GM in basketball was quoted as saying Ariza's defense alone makes him worth what we signed him for. Yeah, he gambles a bit too much and isn't some world-altering defender but on any planet he's better than JR Smith in that regard. Smith is a complete bonehead that can just as easily shoot you out of a game and give up 30 points to the 20 he scores. Once Adelman puts the clamps down on Ariza and he starts playing to his strengths we'll find Rockets games are much more enjoyable to watch. I just hope that point is sooner rather than later.

There is absolutely no way JR Smith would mesh with Adelman's offense. Talk about a ball stopper. He can get hot, but he'd be worse than having Rafer when he's not.

what do you mean? He is consistantly one of the most efficient wing players in the NBA. He shoots at a high percentage at anywhere on the court. He is in no way a ball stopper

Anybody in the league more deserving of an ass beating than JR Smith?

JR Smith just has that face you want to strap dynamite to. His showboating when he's on is annoying, it's worse than Eddie House's. Rafer should pimp slap the back of his head too.

He reminds me of a more exciting version of Deshawn Stevenson.

    Seconded.

Well. JR in Adelman's offense would be interesting. He'd either be an even more explosive Chase Budinger, or he'd totally just stink it up launching 3s every single chance he gets. Which come to think of it, would be almost similar to what Ariza's doing.

Their are two players in the NBA, who if ever became a Rocket would force me to stop being a fan.

    1. JR Smith
    2. Stephen Jackson

Can't stand JR, he gets too "look at me, I'm owning your ass" whenever he gets hot. Then he does some stupid dance or makes some bizarre face. It's annoying. Why can't people just quietly have a good game? Like Duncan, Wade, etc.

Anyways, 10 3's is impressive. Kudos to that.

Perhaps. But Vernon Maxwell was a pretty explosive scorer. He could go off on you for 40 if he decided to show up. However, Maxwell was a much better defender than JR. He defended Jordan as well as anybody in the league.

I wouldn't want JR Smith clocking big minutes on this team but having a Budinger/Smith combo at SG would be miles better than Ariza/Budinger. JR Smith won't shoot you out of the game because when he starts stinking it up you send him back to the bench. When Ariza starts stinking it up (which is literally 80% of the time) he is rewarded with more minutes.

His defense is declining nearly as fast as his offense is. After watching tonight's game, it has become apparent he can't even convert open layups.

I've never seen anyone defend Jordan better than Maxwell. He could truly lock down on him at times.
