JR Smith is one of the nicest, most stand-up guys in the league and it's a shame that you're all insulting him like this.

With regards to the play, I leave without commentary.

EVERYONE who is saying JR Smith is a dumbass for that play is also a dumbass... All of the Nuggets and Kings began going the other way as if it were a made shot... Smith had a bad angle... DUMBASSES

The Kings were getting back on transition defense, after JR rebounded the bball. The Nuggets like to fast break from the rebound, also.

I don't understand why some of you keep saying this.

You do know that teams often run the other way when they assume that someone has the rebound right?

Wow...some sensitive ass JR Smith fans on here.

What do you expect Billups to do when JR starts stepping out of bounds? He is not going to start screaming at him in front of the ref. He was probably too dumbfounded by JR Smith's dumbness.

Sac players are obviously gonna get back on D whether its a made shot or a rebound.

Kenyon Thug Martin is another dumb ass like JR Smith and was prolly high too so him thinking it went in is perfectly logical.

I'm guessing he's not the most cerebral player on the Nugs... but, J.R.'s my favorite non-Rockets bench player in the league.

He's money from three-point range, and he can climb the ladder and throw it down. He's great in transition, and has a multitude of flashy dunks in his arsenal.

He has the ability to go off for 25 on any given night.

LMAO the fact that none of the kings fans cheered should have tipped him off also...

When Smith had the ball in his hands, why wouldn't they run the other way? Running the other way had nothing to do with thinking the ball went in. In fact, missed shots make players take off down the court more than makes. When Chauncey got the "inbounds" pass and the ref blew the whistle, he knew exactly what happened.

J.R. Smith has talent but sometimes he's seriously out of his mind.

If it weren't for Deshawn Stevenson, JR would be the dumbest player in the league.

Could also happen to Shawn Marion. Like his breakaway dunk on his own basket.

I already don't like the guy, but to add to it on NBA2K10, he simply can't miss. Really pisses me off hahah!

Doesn't have anything to do with him being a thug.

Has a LOT to do with him being a dumbass though.

You guys calling him an idiot aren't paying attention to the fact that from his POV, that could have been a swish, especially if he was blocking out and now focusing on the ball flight until the net flicked up. He was at the worst possible angle to determine whether or not that ball went in, so don't be so quick to judge until you're in the position yourself.
