funny... you go ahead and be angry or stress out about it. i don't think it's a big deal if they ease him back him in. we have a solid team without him and a contending team with him. imo it's best not to rush anything.

Those guys who followed Yao home and took pics, can we employ them to spy on the man and find out?

I'm gonna go see a soothsayer.

    1) If Yao didnt trust his body he would opt out and sign a 5 year 50 million dollar deal. That guarantees him 50 million rather then 17 million for next year. If he knew it was over not opting out is the worst decision.

    2) If Morey really believed Yao was done Miller wouldnt be his target. He would have looked for a much better long term option. We all know Miller is towards the end of his career and an ideal back up, not long term starter.

    3) This rumor? Seriously? The Houston newspaper reports he is ahead of schedule and that has no cred, a nobody writes Yao may miss two months and you are concerned?

It's best not to rush things. Why rush him out in January? Wait until April to ease him back in and be ready for the playoffs.

So you can trade him by the Febuary deadline if he is taking that long to be ready. Its obvious if he takes this long he wont ever be the same again. Time to trade him by Febuary if they have to waite that long.

My preference would be limited minutes to start with a couple of months of full utilization, at least, before the playoffs.

What does "Ahead of schedule" really mean.

    Has anyone seen the schedule?

    What is it?

I think it is "ready by training camp or at least the start of the season".

This guy is sticking to his story, the Rockets are trying to sell tickets......

I am inclined to believe the reporter.

Don't take the stance that one is trying to sell something so he is lying, in truth they both are selling something. Houston is selling tickets and this guy is selling news papers. In the end, I'm inclined to believe the Rockets in this situation because no other source has surfaced confirming this story.

But it was not a story, it was just a little 2 sentence blog about what he heard at the summer league.

Anyway, 2.5 months until training camp is plenty of time...I am hopeful, but nervous.

Whoa!! It's not that serious. Maybe the 2 month thing won't be so bad. ;) Look at the brightside, Brad could start. He won't be as good as a defensive presence as Yao, but he will be good enough. Also maybe his scoring will make up for that.

IF Yao is ahead of "schedule" and still iffy then our owner, GM, and Coach should be held responsible for not obtaining someone besides Brad Miller to play center. I know Morey was suppose to have gone after Bosh, but not as a center but a PF. We already knew Hill wasn't ready to takeover the center position and I am afraid to say Brad is a little bit old to be considered a full time championship starter. Therefore, I got to believe that Yao's schedule would put him into the game at the beginning of the season at least in some sort of capacity.

Unless he has suffered some sort of set-back then I believe the Rockets.

There are many ways to sell stories. Why pick this? you know that we never get media attention. he could have picked something else right?

a similar scenario happened last year if you remember correctly.
