missing first two month of the season shouldn't be a big problem.

What people don´t understand is that NO ONE knows how will Yao´s body react to playing x mins, how will is foot react etc, etc

It has been one year off, and the procedure is not very common, so no one will give you 100% true information about rehabilitation

Everyone talks and no one knows anything, not Yao, not our staff, not the guy that operated him, NO ONE (only the guy that came with this rumor actually)

In related news to this rumor, I'm hearing that if Aaron Brooks tears his ACL prior to November, he could miss part or all of next season. OH NO!!!! :(

At first glance(if this is true) i was upset. Of course being a fan of Yao , you want to see him play, and make sure he is ok. But if he misses the first two months of the season, thats a good thing in all honesty. That way, Patrick Patterson and Jordan Hill will get more minutes and more experience. They can worry about the team chemistry around December and January. If we can have a healthy Yao come playoff time with the team we have right now? We're deep and Yao could fit right in. Lets hope this isnt true though.

Even if true, I don't really care.

Anyone remember how many half-seasons Shaq played before blowing up in the postseason? Who gives a damn if Yao decides to spend half a season getting into shape?

The Rox are probably just weighing their options on what to do with him. Do we keep him under 25 minutes? Do we keep him out of back to backs? Do we rest him 1 week out of the month? I don't see him missing the beginning of the season, but I wouldn't be surprised if they kepts him to 60 games this season. Just keep him healthy for the playoffs, that's our main concern.

No one should expect Yao to be anything other than game to game or possibly week to week for the rest of his career. I don't think he'll ever be a night to night player again, but that doesn't mean he can't contribute.

The vets here, and I include myself in that category now, know not to panic. We've been through too many injuries and painful moments. This is not a huge deal even if it's true. We've shown that we're able to compete even without Yao.

He may neeed some extra time to condition.

I think Morey made the right choice by signing Brad, even if he was a bit expensive. He'll be able to give us 14 and 10 while Yao is recovering, if that is, indeed, what's going to happen.

I'll wait for Clutch or DocRocket to shed some light. :)
