Doesn't Josh Smith train with Calvin Murphy as well? It is weird how an Atlanta player born there has managed to get some tutaledge of some of Houston's best.
It was all Hakeem! I use to read SI Magazine Hakeem and Clyde Drexler up in the limousine Hangin posters on my wall Every Sunday on NBC everybody use to ball.......
Man, we should really sign this Hakeem "Dream" guy. He looks pretty good. I saw him working out with Kobe before on YouTube. That's how I found out about him. No, but for real though, we need Carl Landry to work with Dream. Improve his post moves, etc. Landry is a beast. He'll be better than Luis next year, I think. I'd rather keep Landry over Scola this offseason, or if a trade has to go down.
i dont think Dream wants to work with the rockets or any team...he'd have the responsibility of showing up, having sort of a schedule and i think he prefers just tutoring guys on the side since it's usually a one time thing. I think he has bigger goals in mind that dont involve basketball.
Would explain why and how he's gotten so much more aggressive compared to last season. Last season, he would just jack a bunch of jumpers up, now he's posting up, blocking shots, rebounding the ball and shooting more efficiently. Nice job Dream!
If only Dream plays now, rox will still win the Championship even with Cook as the starting PF. Its odd that none of the Rox players have go to him for tutoring. Smith is one of the long line of students he have, Kobe, Okafor have all turned to him for coaching.
I'm glad The Dream is teaching J-Smoove some moves. That guy needs some. He's gotten by in the NBA based on his athleticism alone thus far. To imagine how much better he'd be with some go to post moves.....wow
Part of the reason we are cursed. - Houston gave up on him, or let him go. Unbelievable. And then brought in Patrick Ewing!!!! That gorilla was the worst thing to happen to Yao. Sam Cassell Robert Horry Mario Ellie - all people who the Rox traded and went on to be winners. Where we get the biggest disgrace to the game....Barkley. To me, that was like signing Karl Malone. I hated the rox for letting hakeem go elsewhere.
Not 100% related but I watch this vid before every rocket playoff game...it just gets you into the games. My favorite is #2.... Look at the moves, how can a 7 ft player do something like that? And double up on the fact that he was so humble (most of his career ). NEVER AGAIN will there be anyone remotely close to him. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0GCyU0sKxqI&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0GCyU0sKxqI&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Everytime Olajuwon is recorded teaching another NBA player, I'm sick of reading the following: Why don't Hakeem teach any of the Rockets? Why is he helping Kobe instead of McGrady? Why isn't he helping Scola? Landy? Tutelage is a two way street--you have to have an eager student to go along with an eager teacher
Dream still has it left in the tank. Sign him for MLE! Just kidding. Nice to see he's still got it, but Landry has to get his ass over there. And maybe dream could teach Scola some left-handed moves?
