    Y'all missing the point Smith is our third star. He needs to improve some things but he made us in the playoffs. Its all about how cheap we can get him IMO. Morey didn't want to pay what Detroit did but if we get JSmooth for less than the MLE then its a home run. We may keep KJ yet. And I think Les will go over the cap.

    In fact I would offer a 3 year deal with a player option for the last year paying 3 mil this year 12 ml next and 14 ml last. Or mix it up. But you have to see what other teams are offering if Detroit is paying salary, because you don't want to overpay at the outset. IMO. The new CBO is going to change things big time.

    You're overlooking how sh#tty Jones is on defense. From memory, I believe Jones let his man shoot 6% higher in the playoffs than they averaged. That SUCKS!!!! Smith is close to an elite defender. We don't win the Clippers series if we keep starting Jones. No way.

    We need to keep Josh Smith no matter what... don't forget it was because of him that we beat the Clippers. McHale had to make changes when it wasn't looking good for us. Great things started to happen when Josh Smith was in the starting line up.

    Game 1: 117-101 Clippers (Jones in line up)
    Game 2: 109-115 Rockets (Jones in line up)
    Game 3: 99-124 Clippers (Jones in line up)
    Game 4: 95-128 Clippers (Jones in line up)
    Game 5: 103-124 Rockets (Smith in line up)
