Correction: Watch him BRICK freethrow after freethrow. The fastbreak wasn't that bad. D-Mo is for real, will be fine. T-Jones is still getting better. Get those 2 back healthy and we'll beat the Clippers w/ Josh Smith.

It's abouth Depth in playoffs. That's why rockets lost bc of depth on bench with 2 starters out!! Morey has a lot of work todo!!

Too bad, would have been nice to keep him. But if DMo and Jones can stay healthy I don't think we're that much worse. Smith was so important BECAUSE

Defined role? What am I missing here?

3rd big behind DeAndre and Blake at best.
Houston? 3rd big behind Dwight and D-Mo?

Losing Dmo made the move for Smith that much more essential to our team's success last year. If Dmo would've stayed healthy, I seriously doubt we make the move for JSmoove. Although I'm disappointed, if Dmo comes back healthy...there's not too much room for Josh anyways if Terrence is the backup.

David Aldridge ‏@daldridgetnt - Can confirm Josh Smith to Clippers, as reported by Real GM & others. Told he was swayed by "defined role" offered by LAC/Rivers.

Well said. Honestly during the playoffs he always scared me when he had the basketball because he didn't value possessions at times. The team will miss his play making ability though when his head was in the game.

We are trying to win. We only got as far as we did because of the talent of Smith. He didn't hinder our advancement. Just letting assets walk to look at the next move doesn't mean crap. Ultimately the next move is Durant. I just don't see that truly happening.

I'm done with the Rockets. Peace out. ;)

Brewer gets 3 years - 21 million. Josh gets...nowhere near that even though he is a better player. Makes sense.

You are right but I don't see what possibly he could have up his sleeve. As a Rockets fan I am extremely pissed today. We got worse and another West contender got better.

J.R., agreed. Makes no sense. Defined role, money etc. Those were pluses for the Rockets.

McDaniels was a pretty good rookie until he bench warmed over here.

Honestly between Dmo/Jones/McDaniels/Harrell...and who knows what Dekker is capable of the Rockets can make up for what Smith produced.

They need a playmaker at guard, not at the 4.

VET MINIMUM??? Seriously? Why would Smith rather play for the vet minimum in LA where he is platooned behind Deandre and Blake who are going to play 36+ minutes a game. Are they going to play him at the 3 where he has failed nearly every time? I don't get this.

It wasn't a substantial amount. Very small. Less than a million I believe or at least around that figure. With Clips resigning DJ and adding Stephenson and Pierce....Smoove thinks the stars are aligned in LA.
