Smith is great, but not having to worry about Hack a whoever as much is nice. I wouldn't mind bringing in Chuck as our 3rd pf as a defensive specialist now.
Josh will regret his decision by the end of next season when he realizes that he gave up over $1,000,000 and a ring to go play for LA.
I liked smith but losing him wasnt that bad.. What is bad is the fact that the clippers bench just got a ton better. Had he gone to a weaker team it be no problem.
Why losing Smoove doesn't matter: 1). He was too much of a FT liability with hack-a-Dwight. 2). DMo about to show the world he's ready 3). jones should take another step; if healthy for an entire season 4). We've got depth at that position with Harrell and hopefully williams We lose rebounding, defense, and some mid-range skill, but our young bigs can board and DMo should be able to stretch the court better than Smoove. It's the defense we have to make up for. With this Lawson trade, Can't understand why smoove wouldn't want to make another run with this roster!
I think losing smith is still a huge blow, soeacilly if we could of kept jones. Smith could of been Ty's faried It is what it is though, it all worked out
I see "winning over money" be thrown around, but isn't that just what Broussard said, not actual words from Smoove's camp?

He was and would have been clearly ahead of Terrance Jones. The Clippers have practically 0 minutes for him. With Pierce and Stephenson in the fold, he will get 0 minutes at SF. His best hope is about 15 mpg with LAC and that is only if they play some small ball where he and Griffin are the big men.
no obviously it wasn't clear at all as far as a healthy TJ. if it was so clear he would still be here
And every time he has a decent game, this thread is going to get bumped, and if he has a decent game the same night the Rockets lose, this thread will get four or five pages longer. Not my site, but I hope it gets moved to NBA section before season starts.
mavs, clippers, lakers, warriors, jazz, so many teams to root against. also i wouldnt mind the thunder winning it all but with the chance that durant could come to houston or go east i have to hope the thunder flame out this year also.
I think he was upset he didn't get a better offer and that we gave KJ and Brewer so much money so he decided to stick it to us. No way TJ would have played, they would have played Smith and traded TJ. TJ is an expiring anyway. Smith was a HUGE reason we got so far in the playoffs. He wanted to get a chance to go somewhere to beat us for the disrespect he perceived from us paying KJ and Brewer his money. I can't believe people aren't more worried about how we're going to defend the elite power forwards in the Western Conference. This was a huge loss.
