Lol, you still won't go on record and make a few simple predictions based on the questions I asked you. Instead, you're writing poetry about me, lol. Here, I'll make you a deal. Again, since you seem to be so infatuated by my sports betting picks, go through the various threads in which I've documented my picks and if there are more losers than winners, I'll leave this site forever. If there are more winners than losers, you leave ClutchFans forever. Deal?
Sucks to lose josh but you just know that morey has something planned. I don't see how smith would leave for so little money if that wasn't the case. In any case, ITS JULY!! We can evaluate the offseason so far, but I think it's far too early for any predictions to be made. We don't have all the information we need. Let morey work, his record says he can get things done. That's the approach I'm taking anyway. Cheers go rockets!!
Curious, are you all totally bought into the idea that smith saw we had full MLE but only offered 2.5 non bird so he took even less money to play with clips? That doesn't total make sense to me. What's the REAL story?
Clippers guaranteed him all the backup pf spot minutes. In Houston he would have to share the pf spot with 2 players. Doc sold him on a bigger role than we could offer, whether that ends up being true or not only time will tell. I imagine his style frustrating Doc and Cp3 quite a bit, and he may end up with the Spencer hawes treatment.
nobody knows the real story for now. we have some here pissed at morey and meanwhile the morey defenders to the death gang convincing themselves it's about playing time. either way, dwight can't be too happy about him leaving
That makes sense (and I totally agree about the fit). So more than likely Morey is expecting to go into the season with the other two PFs getting minutes, or smith was uncomfortable enough with that potentially being possible.
Most likely DMO was going to be starting. Smith probably thought he deserved to start given his performance in the playoffs. Don't know how he starts in LA unless he becomes a super stretched 4.
Doesn't make sense. Josh Smith is a backup PF on the Clippers, but he'd be a starting PF with a bigger role on the Rockets (like the playoffs) with Terrence Jones and Donatas Montiejunas as the backups. Josh is a far more skilled player than Terrence and DMo. Josh is a power forward. Josh is a point forward. Josh is a stretch four. Josh can handle/pass and lead the fast break. You'll never see Terrence or DMo doing that
I don't know if I agree that smith should/would start over dmo. But more importantly Morey doesn't agree.
Dmo is coming from a serious back surgery so he won't start at the beginning of the season and for a while until he is 100% healthy.
He's already do light scrimmage. He's gonna get an "ab rocker belt" to not only work on his core strength but maintain. He'll be as good as new.
It's not even that. Harden played well in the playoffs, including that WCF. That historic last game has people forgetting the spectacular games he had before that.
You must not watch the Rockets When Josh first got here he started and it was a disaster Truth is Josh doesn't have bball IQ to start on an NBA team. He is best coming of the bench Starting causes him to lose his mind
He started again in the playoffs against the Clippers and he did indeed lose his mind, in a GOOD way. I'm done with Josh Smith, I was a fan but he is no longer with the Rockets so it is time to move on. Rockets need an upgrade at the 4 spot for defensive reasons, and I'm not seeing the answer on the current roster.
I am happy to hear this news, esp since only last week in the lithuanian media he said how much weak his leg was. And doesn't matter if he will be as good as new..eventually. You don't want to risk it with someone coming off such a serious injury but rather take it slow. some minutes off the bench and gradually more to finally back being a starter.
I think you need to get a better TV.. Josh Smith took bad bad shots, turnovers, once in a while he would get hot, but remember they kept pulling out of the games because of his decision making.. To sum it up Josh Smith was the Jeremy Lynn of Forwards...Thanks goodness he is gone!
