If Rockets are unable to recruit Dwight Howard, I'm told second preference is Josh Smith. Sixers also targeting Smith, says a source
— Peter Vecsey (@PeterVecsey1) June 3, 2013
As I mentioned during the season... Original plan was to get Smith (Rox thought Dwight wasnt going to be as available and open to Houston as he is now) Smith has now become plan B.
Thanks man. What do you personally think will happen, under both scenarios - iow we land D12, what other moves do you see/hear happening? Or, worst case, no D12, we land Smith, what other moves would then be in the offing? Thanks CyberX, you are appreciated.
Have you heard anything new regarding Dwight? Any possibility in your mind of JSmoove taking less to play with Dwight in Houston?
Is cyberx really an insider? I've seen so many posters claim to have inside info in all these Dwight Howard threads that I'm starting to doubt all of them.
I think "Plan A" is Dwight OR Paul. (i.e top tier) "Plan B" is Smith maybe Milsaps or wait until 2014 FA (near-top tier)
Why in the world would not want Chris Paul? He could end up being one of the best point guards of all time.
Can't say too much anymore... People here have to big of mouths and it gets back to people and back to me.
So i guess a viable option could be to trade Asik and Lin for Smith (s&t) and then sign Howard... Depending on how expensive Smith might come at, we might even have a little room left... Question is: would be willing to give up both Lin and Asik and would Atlanta be willing to do the s&t? How far could this starting 5 go? Beverly Harden Parsons Smith Howard A good mix of offense and defense - we would need a scoring wing of the bench, though...
You might actually be the only fan of any basketball team in the world not to want Paul on their team.
