If Anderson is worth about $5mil/yr, then i will trade for him....but NOT $8mil. He's worth as much as Asik, which is overpaid imo. If he's worth $5mil and we trade Asik for him, we could have at least save $3mil for another free agent.

Josh Smith can guard Lebron James! Ryan Anderson can't do that! I'm taking Josh Smith in spite or his low basketball IQ! A lineup of Lin or Jack, Harden, Parsons, Smith and Howard is much better than a lineup of Anderson, Lin/Jack, Harden, Parsons, and Howard!

I don't believe he said that. Asik rarely speaks and those words do not sound like anything he would say. He is a team guy who seems to love Houston. That being said he also loves to play and probably is wondering what his role might be now that Howard is coming. So he might be a little discouraged but I expect Mchale to figure out a way to give him 20 minutes a game. I do think that he will be flipped at some point. But I would hold onto him for now. The season is long and there will be offers and opportunities later that may be better options for the Rockets than Josh Smith. I say wait and see and I think that's what Morey already suggested earlier. Still they could flip him now. Smith is a great asset. Just not the best PF type to play with Howard.

As i said before, i think Houston is set by just resigning their players like Delfino and Garcia and they're ready to go. People forget to realize how valuable Asik is. I remember saying to myself last season, Asik is the foundation of the Rockets' defense. Without him, the Rockets simply suck. So the team totally depend on him to have any chance of winning because he is the anchor of the team's defense. The problem w/ his game is his offense isn't that great...he doesn't have good hands and fumbled the ball a lot or if he got the ball, doesn't rise up quick and dunk quick enough and as a result, he got stripped easily.

Now that we Howard, he basically play the same tough defense like Asik, EXCEPT now he can be an offensive force. But at the same time, it doesn't mean we have to trade Asik. It will be nice to have another defensive anchor coming off the bench and help shut down interior penetration and rebound...so we never lose a step and continue to maintain the lead. All we need now is sign better outside shooters and we're ready to explode. We just need Garcia and Delfino back.

I'll take Smoove. I just don't know if he's gonna be willing to take a pay cut to sign with us.
