Josh Smith is officially your starting PF. I'm not so sure about this decision...especially considering it's only his 2nd game. I'd like for him to give the team a spark off the bench...I'm not sure why Mchale wants to rush him into the lineup. This was inevitable. Smith is a better fit with the starters and if McHale is smart the offense will run through DMo when the bench is on the floor.
This is the right choice. Dmo will bring good scoring punch off the bench. He still needs to get stronger on the boards. That's my main issue with Dmo at this point.
I'm not pro or anti any player in this team, i am a Houston Rockets fan and if this is best for the team I am all for it. Just hope D-Mo gets his minutes and confidence isn't hndered by it, he has been great for us.
we knew they promised him the starting spot before he signed here. not really a surprise. dmo backing up dwight and smith is where its at anyway. great rotation.
Our offense seems pretty free flowing to me -- not a lot of plays called from the bench. I think that's more on the players looking down to him in the post, and him being more assertive in carving out good post position and calling for the ball.
DMo will be fine. Josh is a bridge....more than capable ...playing with one of his best friends....at 2 MILLION prorated !!! As mentioned, DMo should get extra minutes/touches....in the post.
