But, but, but clutchfans told me jsmoove is the best! He's our third star! He's a supremely more talented player than jones! Surprised it only took four games before people realized how much of a scrub he is.
I can see your point, and turnover is disruptive especially when you have to cut productive players for guys with guaranteed contracts, that probably did not sit well with the players. I mean if you are trying to win now you keep the BEST PLAYERS regardless.....but that is all talk, which as we all know is cheap. DD
Hated this signing then. Hate it now. There was always going to be an unnecessary ripple effect from picking up this bonehead. Wrong move Morey. There's no stats necessary to show that a guy who got paid multi-millions to go away is bad. Lock the Joey Dorsey thread. Because Smith is Morey's worst signing.
Forcing Smith into the starting lineup was an even worse move than signing him was. Benching Canaan and Papa was even worse than that.
Morey gambled on this one, and it's looking a loss. If he doesn't shape up in a few games, cut your losses and waive him. We have enough issues to sort through on this team as it is.
Lots of overreacting here. He looks great coming off the bench, and in a few months once he's more familiar with the system he will be what Moery was hoping Royce White and Terrence Jones would be - a super versatile 4.
I'm willing to give him a second look.. AS LONG AS WE KEEP HIM ON THE BENCH. No more starts for this guy.
We have found our 6th man... 6. Josh Smith 7. Corey Brewer 8. Jason Terry 9. BIG PAPA Studly bench passing, energy and IQ...
Josh Smith in 2 games coming off the bench: 21/8/3 and +15 +/- @ Memphis (win) 12/7/2/1 and +30 +/- vs Heat (win) Small sample size but I see a pattern that works. McFail please don't mess with the starting lineup again. Your idiotic decision to bench DMo in the first place literally cost us a minimum of 2 games. Don't do it again.
Why do people think Smith's signing is the worst of all time? At that price? I haven't been watching the games. Is this just typical Clutchfans overreaction or has Smith really destroyed the team chemistry completely?
We are not talking about his price any longer. That is not in the equation right now. Performance only please.
He has been a massive scape goat since he got here. Just like Ariza he can be very very valuable even when not scoring. Coming off the bench at this stage in his career is perfect for him
Averaging 4.3 assists on the season. Hopefully more of them will be on target as he gets more familiar with where guys are on the floor.
He could be a solid Top 100 player but as of now I am not seeing Top 40 or Top 35 borderline allstar that he was 2 yrs ago. Bench talent because of fit and his shortcomings
The thing is, if he comes off the bench, he is the kind of guy who can get his own shot off. 2nd unit needs that, his energy there seems like it makes more sense imho.
