When he gets pumped up, he really fuels everyone and makes incredible play! Grow that confidence JSmoove!
Oh yeah, definitely. He had that little bounce and rhythm in his dribble/step. You knew he was going to go off. You saw the AAU powers take over.
4-7 from three in a playoff elimination game! i cant think of the right words, he came to play and showed up bigtime rockets could have the best collection of playoff performers in the nba. playoff dwight, terry, harden, and smith.
Josh was a playmaker out there. He took blakes style of play and gave it right back to him. We looked like the clips did in game one. Red nation we out here baby!!

Did you notice that shot of McHale talking to Smith after the game? their faces were close to each other's and it was obvious McHale was praising Smith for the game. McHale acts so fatherly to Smith. Haven't seen him able to treat Howard or Harden in the same way. Guess he has a real connection toJosh
Big thank you also to Morey for pulling the trigger. Some people think Morey is just a over-hyped stat geek who only makes decisions based on what his "advanced analytics" tell him. To those people, please explain why he acquired poor to mediocre offensively efficient players like Josh Smith, Corey Brewer, and a washed up Jason Terry? This season should prove Morey does indeed value other traditional and intangible aspects of the game such as Smith having something to prove and his relationship with Dwight, along with the leadership effect of bringing in guys like Terry and Prigioni.
Morey has always maintained that stats only tell part of the story and that there are things that exist that cannot be properly quantified in numbers. The whole only uses stats thing was a lie being pushed by the media and gobbled up by the dumbass ignorant fans out there. Are we a team that is heavily invested in analytics? Yes. Is that all we are? Hell freaking no!
Skip and Steven A both have Clips winning game 7. Be great to prove them wrong again if they can pull it out! Actually felt they were hoping they would win rather than actually thinking they will.. An Skip still feels salty about the Spurs not facing the Rockets, said the Rockets would have gotten swept if they played San Antonio.. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ai7uAYbvjTA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
In the ordinary course of a game, those shots he took would be considered ill-advised. But the Rockets had nothing to lose at that point and he was just free stroking - no set plays were going to work with that lineup. It was the one time where those kind of shots are actually the best ones you can take, and I think he understood that, and owned it.....well done my man!
What I noticed that on each one of those 3's he took, Howard was in the post ready to grab the board if Smoove missed... which he didn't. I think that gave Josh the confidence to fire away

On the 3 he hit to make it 102-97, he was literally jumping up and down calling for the ball. He knew he had it going. It seemed like his confidence was at an all-time low after the first 4 games of the series, but he's been a huge catalyst for this team over the last 2 games. The team seems to rally around him, and it's obvious he loves playing for McHale.
He was unstoppable. The plays he made on both ends of the court really fueled our whole team. Thank you Smoove.
Yeah you just knew he had it going, for the first time in a long time I actually wanted him to have the ball. There was just something about the way he looked, he was about to take the game over. It was absolutely amazing.
