This might stain Pops reputation if he was complacent. Spurs told her Pop was aware the entire time and her and her lawyer said they think she was lied to about that...but they're just assuming because she holds Pop in such high regard and doesn't think he would do nothing about it. That may be true but it's just an assumption. It's possible she didn't want to drag Pop in it because he's backed by so many in the NBA and that would open up a can of worms. Spurs may just go along with it and make the GM and RC Buford the fall guys..even if Popavich did know.
Call me crazy, and it's a very out-there solution, I know. But if someone showed their privates - unwarranted - EIGHT TIMES previously, don't go into the room with them? Again like I said, it's a very farfetched solution so I can understand why she didn't do it.
I am a huge fan of the Spurs and Pop, and even despite that I say that if these allegations are true, he bears ultimate responsibility for the organizational failure. Either he knew and kept it under wraps, or he was clueless about how RC and Wright were dealing with this until too late. Neither is a good look. It's a defense that didn't work for Ken Lay or Joe Paterno, and IMO it shouldn't work here either. The only other option is if the allegations themselves are proven untrue, but I find that potential outcome highly unlikely (especially with the Minnesota incident and the subsequent fallout). If this is proven out, they need to clean house, and not even Pop should be safe.
The accuser said she didn't notify Pop or RC and doesn't know if they even knew about it. Sounds like Wright will be the one to fall.

no wonder they are playing so well. I think Pop knows they may take their pick away. crazy this is coming from an organization that is pretty progressive - or at least Pop is very progressive. I don't know about the Spurs organization
I doubt that the majority of teams are as progressive as Silver wants the league to be. But now at least cases like this see the light of day instead of being swept under the rug. Athletes can't just do whatever they want just because they play this sport well.
