I was just listening to the Josh Innes show on 790 while driving home from work. There was a segment where people were calling in. One caller called in and said he was Nori Aoki. He spoke with what sounded like a fake Japanese accent. I don't recall exactly what he said, but the host then asked him something about massage parlors at the Galleria. The call then ended with an oriental jingle and a gong sound. This was one of the most offensive things I have heard in a while. Did anyone else catch this?
I listen occasionally. I actually swore I would never listen to his show again last month when he declared that he was not a "die-hard Rockets" fan and spent hours talking about Westbrook. I happened to flip to it this afternoon and caught this segment. I know he has been fired for doing this before, but I had no idea he was still doing stuff like this here in Houston.
Josh has gotten a lot better. He is a Baseball Savant, so it is fun hearing him talk about how much better the Astros are than the Rangers. He makes a comment every day about it. I sat a row down from Seth Payne yesterday. He was making fun of the lone Athletic fan there. Funny stuff.
After Lance leaves I'm done with 790. Probably just gonna catch MAD radio and that's about it. RIP my adolescent sports radio fandom.
I absolutely hate the way he talks about harden and morey. It's not that he criticized them it's the way he does it. Like he genuinely hates them

No, its the HD version of the station. You have to go to channel 2 after you go to 93.7. There is about a 3-4 second delay before something starts playing, and its ultimately a good 5-10 seconds behind the live AM station.
you're telling me there is a station just for baseball talk? I need to get on this asap. As to the aoki caller. I was starting to like Ines, he does talk baseball all throughout. The other guys all over the city is like they want to, so they'll start for a couple of minutes but they can't help themselves to go back to shenanigans, eggball and peach baskets. The aoki is/was offensive. I was waiting for them to hang up on him. they never did. The gong, I don't know how I feel about that one. Long duck dong was one of my 80s heroes more than Atrayu. They always used the gong in long duck's scenes.
