If that was the scenario, Howard wouldn't have said anything about Amare because that's not the "cool" thing to do. T-Mac stated before the season began he might miss some games to fully recover from surgery. Instead he is playing limited minutes, yet Howard still thinks it's okay to take a shot at T-Mac.
Yall need to step your reading comprehention game up. He meant it as in Artest finshed strong when Houston needed it most, BECAUSE MCGRADY WAS UNABLE TO CONTINUE. He meant one star took over for another because one was unable to continue.
I don't see it as a negative comment, but... IF it was Howard's intent to insult McGrady, well that just makes him look even more idiotic than usual. It's not like HE or any of his teammates could "finish" the game either.
Was it Josh Howard who said a couple years ago that he couldn't even name a player on the Rockets other than Yao and McGrady? He seems to enjoy belittling our team, so I wouldn't put it past him that it was a shot at T-Mac. Whatever. I think he'll have a great year in Carlisle's up tempo offense. He's great in transition, and he's mastered that mid-range jumper on the break.
Josh howard is a loser and should be traded away to an even worse team like the knicks. Also Chris Webber is awesome, anybody remember him saying that Dallas are the weakest team in the NBA? PRICELESS!
to be fair, he was right. i can't even remember who our bench was at the time, but luther head was our 6th man.
He meant couldn't finish the game due to knee pain ... obviously McGrady wasn't benched in the conventional way. he means TMac could not continue playing the remainder of the game.
you guys are reading too much into this. howard is an idiot and an ass we all can agree on that but tmac still isnt 100% and it showed last night. he missed a few easy shots he normally makes because he isnt getting enough lift..i think he missed two pretty easy layups. its the first back to back he has played in after his surgery so his knee may be still a bit sore. you probably wont see a 100% tmac till the end of nov-mid dec. a 80% tmac though is still better than most players in the league though. either way tracy usually rests at the beginning of the fourth and when the team started on the run adeleman did what most good coaches do, stay with the team on the floor that got him the lead and let them play it out. if coach had to go and bring tmac back in I am sure he would have..it seemed to me that tracy didnt mind and showed a lot more enthusiasm and passion i have seen out of him in a while off the bench. its all about the name of the front not the name on the back.. let howard say whatever at the end of the day, the Rockets won and the mavs lost...all that matters
