I doubt it. That was at the very least a well-disguised trip. I don't think even Artest would've been given a foul for such an 'artistry'. There's no way you can say for sure that was a trip. It's over. Yao's fine, and Artest showed he's a good teammate. Move on! This kind of stuff goes on everyday in professional sports. You all played way too much kindergarten bball. Go watch a hockey game sometime.

should have sent in Dorsey for an accidental body slam of Howard.

    Uh... no.

    This is not "fine."

You do not sit back and say "oh well its cool" when this piece of trash tried to purposely trip the one person that we absolutely cannot lose to injury in order to win a Championship.

And you better damn well believe if the tides had been turned and Artest had done this to Dirk, Cuban would have had the youtube clip up on every news media he could find until Stern would have no choice but to discipline him.

This is not hockey, You don't have the luxury of bashing your opponent into the boards when they've been torching you, and even Hockey has rules about tripping people up like a little b****.

You might say "All is fair in love and basketball", but I don't buy what Beady Eyes Howard did one bit.

Smoke more brain cells away Josh... the Rockets thank you.

I have hated this guy since he came in the league. Just a total punk.

That should be a suspension, but Yao won't make a stink about it and the league won't rock the boat.

Hilarious though that ron gets a T for trying to prevent a fight, and Josh gets nothing for intentionally making an incredibly risky foul...

So Cuban's your role model now? What has he ever done that swayed any official decisions by the NBA? You ever watched any interviews to some of those toughest players in the league, i.e. Karl Malone, Bill Laimbeer, John Stockton, etc... These guys were grabbing and squeezing people's nuts during games. What's a tripping? That's like child's play for them. These are all humongous professional basketball players. It's not your high school girls basketball tournament.

One of my five most hated. It was completely obvious. There are other camera views we don't see that the Rockets send to the league. He should be suspended for this.

The league needs to send a message with a 15 game suspension. He was blatantly trying to injure Yao. In the first video he took 2 swings at Yao but finally got called for the 2nd since the 1st didn't seem to phase Yao. In the 2nd video its Howard who runs into Yao after the missed layup, then at the :09 mark you can see him stick out his leg a lil farther than usual and just enough to trip Yao without being noticed at real speed(unless you're looking directly at him at the time).

The trip was nasty. I am not sure it's intentional though. The only way to know is to view it from several angles.

Uh how bout the playoffs where we got bounced in 7 after the officials miraculously started calling moving picks on Yao after having NOT called a single moving pick on anyone all season? You don't think Cuban's constant b*tching had anything to do with that? Why don't you try watching some Rockets games for once?

    Josh?

I think you have "toughness" confused with "b**** move"

Malone and Stockton should have played in a girls high school basketball tournament, they would have fit right in gender wise and maybe they could have won a title there.

someone get this blasphemous n00b away from his keyboard.

I've watched dozens of Rockets games just in the last couple of years, In Person. If you think officials calling moving picks on Yao started after Cuban's complain, then you're the one who's not paying attention. Van Gundy had long been protesting official's calls on Yao's picks way before they ever met the Mavs in the playoffs. Go get your record straight.

And by the way, I think they are moving picks. Technically, you could call a foul on Yao every time he sets one of those and the defender runs into him. But this is the NBA, players get a lot of leeway.

I see a childish dimwit trying desperately to strut his popsicle sized knowledge about professional basketball. Just because you're a Yao nut-hugger from China, doesn't give you the right to insult the great players. Maybe you played way too much ball with girls in high school, but don't act like Yao is a p*ssy like you.

No-brainer...obviously tripped him. This is not basketball...this is cheating. Yao could have been injured. Show this to the other players and level this a-hole next game.

just 12 posts in and already needs to be banned. You gotta clean this stuff up. No one wants to read stuff you post in your high school message boards.

Did you even read the entire thread? I was merely reasoning with people when some hack came throwing insults. I wasn't the instigator. You better keep your biased opinion to yourself.

"Biased"? Why? All I said was clean up your posts...i.e. keep out the profanity. It's not necessary.

If I saw Josh Howard, I would fight him.

That was definitely intentional. Hes making his way up there with Stockton and Malone on the hate list.
