Need some help: There's a clip of a comedian (I thought it was Chris Rock, but maybe not) talking about how when black people are caught with weed or guns they always claim that it wasn't theirs and they were framed or whatever. I was going to post it and say that Josh Howard was breaking the rules.
rumor has it that ever since random drug testing finished a couple weeks before the end of the season, the GSWs have been toking it up and it added to their struggles down the stretch. I don't blame them either because the bay area has some good herb.
Smoking in the off season probably doesn't affect his game or his athleticism whatsoever once he is off it. The only thing I really think he would have to lose would be incurring a decline in conditioning or lowered respiratory capacity, but he would probably have to do a hell of a lot of smoking. Having said that, I am surprised at how naive Josh Howard is. It almost seems like he doesn't realize he back-against-the-wall cornered, and will be lambasted if his team loses, irregardless of drug allegations. The Mavs have as much to prove in this series as the Rockets do, horrible timing to provide fodder for criticism.
On a different note I wonder if we can get him for cheap, he'd make a perfect 3rd scoring option for us.
imagine if we had him and there was some sort of promotion for the fans. "ENTER FOR A CHANCE TO SMOKE A COUPLE OF BLUNTS WITH YOUR BOY JOSH HOWARD!" lol
Couldn't tell if you're joking or not, but if you're not then that's freakin hilarious. Do you have a link? Oh yeah another thing that I remembered was that when marquis daniels and josh howard were a rookie duo on the mavs they reminded me of the ying yang twins...and you know the yin yang twins are toking it up! <img src="http://www.planetjukebox.com/images/djjukebox_getloose2.jpg">
If I were an owner, I would fire any player on my roster who smokes weed. Even if he's Jordan. No way do I want my kids growing up mimicking these so called "heroes" smoking pot. NBA players are very successful and gifted, but they are not good models if they do drugs. You don't hear about the Dalai Lama, Bill Gates, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, the Pope, Collin Powell, Martin Luther King Jr., Condoleeza Rice and many more influential people rolling a blunt here and there. These people are/were not athletic like NBA players, but they have/had much more brain power than these NBA players and they are the ones who youngsters should look up to. Unfortunately, kids these days regard to pot smoking athletes or pot smoking, overhyped non-talented singers who only brag about b*tches and gold or some dumb singer who screws up her life and has no clue how to raise her own kids, etc. as models. Just pathetic. I'm so glad that David Stern made inactive players wear suites instead of thugish attire that they used to wear. I wasn't surprise Allen Iverson was one of the ignorant ones to protest. Talking about how he was raised and stuff. Please. Why not he drop his NBA career and go back to the hood if he loves it so much? Hypocrite.
That's completely untrue!!! I swear guys, I was watching Dal-NO last night and this dude is totally unreal, what's wrong with him. When he was making plays Dallas lost it and I thought to myself what went wrong with this guy. And today you post me an answer. Really the guy is at times (lots of times) TOTALLY LOST. Pot is the worst of it, guys. It makes you clueless.
not true, I know this man that is one of the smartest men that I have ever met, he smokes. He is one of the kindest human beings you'll ever meet. Pot is naturally grown, while all the other drugs are pretty much man made. Now, of course it is against the law, but it also should be one of those crimes that allows for a fine rather than throwing people in jail over a dime bag of weed. If you got a beef with weed, then you need to have a beef with liqour venders that sell products to stores that in return sell liqour to people that end up killing innocent kids on highways daily.
This thread has been very educational. I learned: 1. There are people who still think mar1juana is a serious drug. 2. There are people who still think that most NBA players don't smoke mar1juana. To sum up, there are still some very naive people out there. I'll add that it pisses me off to no end when NBA players smoke pot during the season. When you get paid as much as they get paid, the least you can do is not break the law & league regulations during the season. But I could care less if they smoke some pot in the off-season. Big deal.
C'mon, it's not that different from players that party at clubs and drink alcohol. So it is ok that your kids so called heroes drink alcohol and party a lot? Because you know there is so much more alcohol related deaths as opposed to weed. Just because alcohol is legal doesn't make it any better. Not to mention that players drink during the season and Howard is saying that he smoke in the OFFSEASON. I honestly think this is exactly what needs to happen. Finally an athlete that isn't scared admit to his personal choices. Everyone gives weed such a bad rap, when in actuality, has more positives than its legal brother, Alcohol. They don't have Medicinal mar1juana for nothing. We need more people standing up for mar1juana and athletes can play a major role. Josh isn't the first, and he won't be the last. Even Kareem said himself that he use to smoke after games as a pain and stress reliever. Obviously, the weed didn't hold him back from winning titles and having a great career. Now I'm not advocating that everyone should smoke weed but this isn't as big of a deal as people are making it out to be. I swear, people make it seem like somebody who smokes weed is equivalent to someone who shoot heroin.
It depends on the person. I do become clueless when I'm high. But I know some programmers that writes the most brilliant code only when they are high.
