PHOENIX -- Swingman Josh Childress has been acquired by the Phoenix Suns in a sign-and-trade deal with the Atlanta Hawks.

Atlanta will get the Suns' 2012 second-round draft pick as part of the deal.

Childress has played the past two seasons in Greece. The 27-year-old previously spent four years with the Hawks.

The 6-8, 210-pound former Stanford player is a career 52-percent shooter. He signed a five-year contract with the Suns.

We knew it was coming, but good move for the Suns. Childress will fit in nicely with Nash and company. He definitely hits open shots.
