If we're to take EVERYONE at their word right now, the only player in MLB who took steroids is Jose Canseco. I'd say he's closer to a truth-teller than any of the others right now.

The sad thing about the whole steroid use is I think Bonds would have been legitamitely chasing Aaron in a few more years anyways. Just dissapointing.

I think Jose Canseco is lying his ass off to sell as many books as he can. He does not care who he drags through the mud.

Having said that, I would not be surprised if some of the players that he mentioned juiced. It is the first hand knowledge that is apocryphal. I find it way too suspicious that Bonds and McGwire break Ruth's home run record at the end of their careers.

On ESPN last night, he threw in Bret Boone's name in there as well and said he knew 100% that Barry Bonds took steroids.

What drug was he on when he let that fly ball bounce off his head for a home run?

IMO there is a bit of truth to what he is saying. Sure he`s a scum bag and he`s trying to sell books but why havent any of the players named in the book threatened to sue him. If it were me being called out in this book I would be beating down the door at MadMax`s law firm right now wanting to clear my name and suing his butt off ;)

Canseco is a jerk, but what's he saying needed to be said.

Baseball denied steriods because "chicks dig the long ball".

What sucks is there is a lot of good players who can't get in teh Hall bacause the power numbers of the 70's and 80's don't compare to todays numbers. Guys like Jim Rice and Steve Garvey were both great players and guys I would have bet would be HOFers but they get denied because they show their numbers next to the current players.

This is true. It is odd that the players he named are simply denying claims instead of immediately suing for libel and slandering of their names.

My error proof test in this whole Canseco deal is "law suit".

If the accused individuals do not sue Jose then I have to believe him even more. I am currently leaning towards his claims in spite of the fact that he is a questionable character and I cannot say why excatly (maybe because I already had my suspision before he spoke out).

I want to see Tejada, Mcgwire, Jiambi (ooops he already "came clean"), Palmero, JuanG, et al sue Jose if his claim is deemed libelous in their view. QED.
