There is no way we can get Calderon. He is easily one of the top 3 Pure PG's in the league.

and those international guys seem to love Toronto, being it is an International City

i am in toronto.....and everyone really really wants to keep him...

plus..he is a restricted free agent...so signing him won't be that easy....Toronto can always match the offer.

are you serious? or does my sarcasm detector need some maintenance?

I hope it's the latter, but if not, here's a list you might want to consider thinking about:

    Steve Nash
    Tony Parker
    Jason Kidd
    Baron Davis
    Chauncy Billups
    Deron Williams
    Chris Paul
    Gilbert Arenas
    Allen Iverson
    Mike Bibby

    just to name a few...

    oh, btw, wrong forum.. :D

There's only like...five pure PGs in your list.

    Nash, Billups, Paul, Kidd, Deron.

The rest are just two-guard shorties nowadays. Since when has AI or Arenas ever been pure PGs?

Calderon is easily the 6th best "pure" PG. Quality.

Still pipe dream to get him...and since I still beleive in Arron Brooks, 10 APG... :p

I'm pretty sure Tj Ford is better than he is also. The "pure" point guard is overrated. Different guards are better in different systems and if you're telling me Baron Davis and Allen Iverson doesn't create shots for their teams then you're crazy. Just because they can score also doesn't make them any less of a point guard.

I got to agree on this one, there are few pure point guards in the league, however Calderon is not a pure point guard, he plays the 2 man game with the small forward.

the guy puts up great stats. but i don't think he's really a great fit for the rockets' half-court game. and he's a subpar defender and would get killed by the elite pgs of the west.

Unless you've got about $75 million to throw at Mr. Calderon, you can forget about him.
