Morey let go of Hill and Jeremy Lin, but went after Jeff Adrien and another draft pick.

Next year, he will trade Morris for another draft pick or aging veteran, and watch as he develops for another team.

Jeremy Lin just needed play time

cant believe we kept Flynn over him, even after Jeremy Lin played well in that pre-season game againist the Spurs

I know you guys are overreacting like little schoolgirls, but is anyone actually watching the game or are you refreshing ESPN's boxscore?

Hill's doing well off of two things. He is either getting rebounds or is finishing off of the passes from the better players, whether Gasol or Kobe or their PGs. He was always capable of doing that. It's doing anything else that's the problem. On a team with inferior talent like us, where we possess a far weaker defensive and offensive frontcourt, that's frankly not all that important. We didn't fail to make the playoffs due to lack of rebounding, Camby was a good rebounder.

Hill's a Reggie Evans/Mikki Moore type. Energy, hustle big man. Nice, but well, not exactly what we need.

morey flat out got RIPPED OFF for hill, and any morey lovers who don't agree in full have no objectivity whatsoever.

if the trade was made in reverse, and we received hill and were getting this production out of him, people would be going nuts drooling over morey and how badly he got over.

congrats to mitch kupchak on teaching morey a lesson, and showing him what a real GM is.

hey morey, hurry up and tweet "if anybody knew about jordan hill, they were misleading you".

    you stink bud.

Is it genuinely possible that Morey got rid of Hill with knowledge of his potential legal troubles?

He's more like Varejao as an energy guy than Moore. Mikki Moore is a weak rebounder. He could pull in 3-4 rebs in 20 minutes. Hill is pulling 10-11 rebounds.

That's OK. with/without Hill, Rockets future wont change a bit. It was a nice PR move to let Hill play basketball in some serious team and go for his next contract.

Yes, I am. He fits right in with the Lakers, giving them more depth on the bench and another big body to put on the floor. There's nothing wrong with being a Reggie Evans/Mikki Moore type player for a contending team. For some reason, you cannot tell me that he is playing more inspired basketball with the Lakers over the Rockets. See him with more energy out there than he had with us. Not necessarily a better player, but definitely more motivated, like he actually has something to play for and the Lakers probably can improve some areas of his game in the offseason.

Think about that. He's an Anderson Varejao... who sucks at defense. And let's not forget who he's battling on the boards, as Karl is basically a rich man's Mike D'Antoni.

Hill will last in this league for another four years, especially since someone stupid will pay him big for this series, and is more than I can say about the other 09ers. But he wasn't the difference between us and playoffs.

The sad thing with the Rockets, no one on our roster is or was . . . Hill is not a superstar or a starter, but he is a good contributor. Not saying the Rockets should've kept, but you do have to question could the team have gotten more than they did for him.

You also have to remember that this pick that we eventually get from Dallas is going to be in the mid to lower part of the 1st Round. The chance of that pick becoming a quality to marginal NBA player are fair to mediocre. Picks in the twenties are very mercurial when it comes to NBA success.

Not one person on this board was upset about losing Jordan Hill. I belt half didn't even know he was still on the team before the trade.

Hill not only had tons of opportunity here but he had plenty of games that displayed exactly what he's done with the lakers. He showed neither the consistency nor the desire to be anything greater so we flipped him for a pick. If he finally gets it great.

All the proof you need is the date this thread was started. This isn't Hill's first time playing well.

Jeremy Lin is worse than both Lowry and Dragic, when was he going to play?

Some of these quick reacting morey bashing posts are stupidly hilarious.

wait...so sense nobody on this board was upset about losing jordan hill, that means morey made a good trade/is excused from getting ripped off? doesn't work like that.

Varejao is actually a pretty good defender when healthy, and was the best P&R defender in the NBA in 2009 and 2010
