Ahh, but sometimes, said player actually does suck. No biggie. If you like Hill, then cool. More power to you and yours. As for myself, he's just the latest in a continuous parade of guys that have shuffled in and out of Rockets' uniforms over the past 30 years.
Got to keep shuffling until you find those keepers..... You must be young...Square one was the year before we drafted Ralph and Rodney....15 games that year were wins I believe...IIRC....this is not even close to that....and there is no Ralph Sampson coming out.....and no guarantee of getting that first pick by tanking anymore..... So sorry charlie ! So stop your b****ing unless you have an actual better plan......because you sound like Moaning Mertle ...... DD
I like Hill because he's a young player picked in the top 10 with potential. That's pretty much why, I am not betting he will be the next Bosh or Amare. I just like the potential of Hill. Right now that's all the Rockets can hope for is to acquire players with potential until they land one they can build around. As far as I understood the NYK deal, they did not want to throw in Hill. But they finally did and even after the trade all they talked about was how this frees up cap space to sign two max players. If you go back and read what Knicks fans thought about it, it wasn't "Good Riddance!" it was "We don't even know what we are throwing away." Hill barely played in a Knick uniform so I don't see how they had a good look at him. D'Antoni threw away Rondo, Deng, and Rudy during his years in Phx when they were on the verge of being contenders. Talk about throwing away talent. Also now Randolph is wasting on the bench and Knicks fans should be happy that Fields actually got a chance to show himself or D'antoni would have had him rotting on the bench as well.
Awww, now you are just being mean DD. Look, I really admire your passion for the Rockets but I have to call you out on this because I can see when you are going and I have seen it happen before with JVG. You OD on the Rockets' Red Koolaid and fall in love with whatever marginal players the front office collects and when they don't pan out, you go after the head coach. You are now poised to do this to Adelman in much the same way you went after JVG. And that's OK as it's your right to do so but before you tilt at this new windmill, ask yourself this: You blamed JVG and he's long gone yet, they (Rockets) are no closer to contending than they were when JVG was here. Sure, Yao & Tmac fizzling out was a big issue but is it something more? I suggest that you stop looking for scapegoats and direct your attention higher up in the organization.
$%^&*&^%$%^&*()(*&^%$#%^&*()(*&^%$#$%^&*() DD WHY DID U HAVE TO MAKE THIS THREAD??? You turned Jordan "The Man" Hill into Jordan Fail
He is not as good as Aldridge, and is a backup PF not a center.....it is not his fault he is being asked to do something he can't do. That is on the coaches and GM for not having a backup Center worth a crap on the roster. DD
Sadly I'm starting to believe in curses. Time to get out my frozen stash of Baby's Blood and porcelain Vishnu.
What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. He was just way overmatched and doesn't have the experience he needed down the stretch.
Um.. maybe you didn't see the game. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Unfortunately Jordan Hill was indeed killed. And then defecated on.
Not going to kill the kid, he's basically a rookie after D'Antoni refused to play him last year. IMHO, he has shown me enough to have hope he can develop into something productive. Tonight, he made some nice plays and some not so nice plays...learning curve.
curse real or not, cant deny he's been stinking since the very existence of this thread. But GOOD NEWS! Buds back!
Thats cus DD got strict on bud, and said things like I'll trade his ass for Lebron James etc etc(Exaggerating here). When DD turns on you , you revert back to your true form
You sir are too kind. Down the stretch that was by far the worst and most embarrassing sequence of basketball I have ever seen anyone play in a Rockets jersey. Yes, even much worse than Budinger's quarter season. I was literally confused at what I was witnessing. There was not even any anger at first, I had to figure out what actually happened before I could even get mad at him. I would love to describe it for you, but to be honest I am still at a loss of words. Anyways, did anyone see that swipe Jordan threw at someone out of frustration when he got back to the bench? I think that's what happened but I'll have to check the replay. If its true then he can count his days in Houston. Not that that wasn't the case anyways.
