Ah... I see, even though 98% of people say he is the best, he's still underrated. That makes sense. Uhhh... wait a minute... Yeah... full of people who think the NBA started with Magic and Bird. Funny though, I don't remember Jordan forcing about 50 rule changes like Wilt did, because he dominated too much... but what I did see is lots of refs (Bavetta must die!) giving him 3 steps to get to the basket, as well as calling "breathing fouls" on other players who really didn't do anything. Have a nice night... put on your MJ pj's, and make sure to set out your MJ underwear for tomorrow... if you can't get to sleep, you can always watch "Space Jam," and pretend that Jordan really was a nice guy.
I'm glad you used your first post to mindlessly jock Jordan. You know, it's good that you're "out." Maybe now you can get some help.
Hmmm, you hate 3 of the most winningest/most dominant people in the past decade? I think your suffering from jealousy. You can justify it anyway you want but to say MJ is selfish and Pippen isn't, especially what happened with the rockets, thats nuts.
So, that's why your sig says "Feel free to express your own WRONG opinion?" Don't worry everybody, Drexlerfan22 is just mad because Jordan punked Drexler back in the '92 NBA Finals.
I don't think Jordan is overrated(minimum top 3 players all-time) but this is a true statement. Even other superstars thought so. If you watch NBA tv there is a piece that runs from time to time(I think it's a special on either the orig. dream team or an all star game) where Magic, Bird, and MJ are filming a promo or something. They are leaning over to form a triangle for the shot and as they are getting nearer to each other Magic says to Larry..."Don't get too close to Michael, that's a foul". Larry dies out laughing while Jordan's sitting there with this sheepish grin on his face that's like, What can I say, I know it's true. I still crack up when I see it.
Drex, LOL! I remembert that! That was me you were having that argument with a while back about Jordan. It's funny, because you typically seem pretty mild-mannered, but when someone mentions Jordan you go crazy! I don't think I've ever gotten into a bigger "fight" on this message board. Other than Jordan, I pretty much agree with most of what you post.
He probably thinks it's funny that someone's being extorted. At least I've never seen Jordan smiling like a little b**** after being eliminated in the playoffs.
I'm guessing a couple of guys named Larry Bird and Ervin "Magic" Johnson had something to do with the NBA's publicity.
mav3434... funny stuff. I don't have much to say about it... it's just funny. How the heck did you get this? I wasn't necessarily saying that Pippen isn't selfish, especially after all that s**t he laid on Barkley after Sir Charles had been so supportive of him. I am pointing out that in light of the salary difference between Pippen and Jordan all those years, you can understand why Pippen was a little miffed by the whole situation, and why he would demand a high salary. It's all relative anyway... didn't Einstein say that? Man, everyone likes my signature . I'm not sure if this is where it came from, but I'm a huge George Carlin fan (I've practically memorized a bunch of his routines), and that sounds like him, so that's probably where it came from. But I mean, really... that's a very psychlogically sound quote, isn't it? Doesn't each of us assume coming into an argument that we're right? You can take that a lot of ways: think it's funny, find it offensive, or as I use it... to remind myself to quit being a stubborn jackass. It doesn't always work . Yep, that was it. Boy, we both got really hot, huh? No hard feelings though.
Truce please. Both MJ and Pippen are selfish, OK. Drex, I am with you about MJ. But I dislike Pippen more, for some reason.
All NBA players are selfish to a certain extent, but why in the world would Michael Jordan, whose value is over 300 million dollars, give a crap about 200k? One can use common sense, without reading the story, to know that it's a ridiculous notion. There's a reason why he's playing for a 1 million dollar salary and donating it all to charity, and that reason is obviously not selfishness.
Hey, just a random memory here (you'll like this one, Easy)... You guys remember the one playoff series we had with Pippen on our team? It was against the Lakers. The Lakers had J.R. Reid on their team playing back-up center at the time (big, ugly 6'10 power forward). Pippen goes driving down the lane and jumps up to stuff it, and Reid just reaches up and plants his arm fully across Pippen's body (hand on face, forearm on chest) and body-slams him down like a little b****! Pippen was squirming around on the floor for a full minute afterwards. Reid got a flagrant one, but some days after the game it was changed to a flagrant two. Anyone else remember this? Just curious.
