Rick should have played Ish and Hill in the 2nd half....stupid coaching decision to wear our guys out. Thank GOD we don't have another game tomorrow..... DD
Hill should see a lot of minutes tonight seeing as it is a back to back. They will probably give Chuck more minutes, but Hill should play at least 20.
Or perhaps he was going to play Hill and Ish more on the 2nd night... there could be many possibilities to why they were played less.
Like i said before, when Hill logs 20+ minutes, he always ends up being one of the best players on the floor.
It might be better for Hill to play like they're playing him, but we need to start winning pretty quick. I think we have to force-feed Hill, and hope he learns fast.
The secret is to play him with 2 to 3 veterans on the floor with him to coach him. Having him start at center with Scola, Battier, Martin would be greatly beneficial for him and the team. The same goes for players like Anthony Randolph. They need to stay around vets as much as possible.
When is Rickets Adelbrain going to learn that you need rim protection in the starting lineup? Please start Jordan Hill. All those whiners complaining about Aaron Brooks perimeter defense are now beginning to understand as Lowry gets blown by night in and night out, that the only answer is protection at the rim. Someone to block shots and someone who will intimidate them. HILL and SCOLA should be starting until Yao is back. DD
Yes, we need rim protection to go along with Lowry's disruptive perimeter defense. Everyone ing the league gets blown by on the perimeter. However there is still no comparison between Lowry and Brooks defensively. Lowry is miles better.
Yeah, uh...no he isn't..... He is getting lit up like the Christmas tree at Lincoln center....his D has proven to be vastly overated. DD
Agreed. If you look at Hill's Per-36-minute numbers, he's already an average big, numbers-wise, except that he fouls too much. He will clearly get better. I think Yao, Scola, and Hill should share the two positions, and maybe Yao should remain a 24-minute player the rest of his career, assuming they can work out a sensible rotation.
We have watched Lowry play for the Rockets for quite a while now. There is no question that when he is healthy, he is an improvement over Brooks in all aspects of defense, specifically help defense. That said, He HAS proven that he is not good enough at these things to be playing over Aaron Brooks and his superior isolation ability. I think Ish has more defensive potential than either of them, and he is without question one of the best passers/creators that the Rockets have had in a long, long time. Our second unit can't make shots, but Ish has done a hell of a job getting them wide open looks. They have got to knock them down, or Daryl needs to find someone who can. Is it just me, or does it seem like Ish's shot has looked better of late? He is still missing a few, but I must say, he looks more refined with every game he plays...
