This was the thing which stood out to me - Hill is tall and long, but he just doesn't seem to jump very high, which means that he doesn't elevate as much as it seems he should. Now he's only been in the league a year, and his conditioning will no doubt improve by leaps and bounds as early as this coming year, but the big question I have for him is, is this something which can be improved with proper training techniques? Proper conditioning and strength training, explosiveness in the legs and such? We don't expect Yao to get more than a foot or so off the floor, not with that bulk. But Hill is lighter and leaner, so he should be able to 'sky' a little bit more than he does, which will help him especially in rebounding. Anyone else notice this, and is it something you have ever seen other similar big men improve upon as they grew into the league?
He jumps high enough. The great thing about Hill is that he's usually the first guy off the floor for the rebound.
Yes, I looked at the size with shoes, that's why I wrote that. But I see Amare on the court and he looks more like a 6-9 than a 6-10 to me. And the opposite with Hill, he looks a bit taller, even longer. But then you look at the measurements and they are pretty similar.
the ceiling is massively high for Hill, 5 things he needs to work on in the offseason 1. Weight room 2. Post moves 3. Finishing stronger/thru contact 4. Improve and already decent jumper 5. Passing
Consider the type of individual that would take the time to produce such a highlight video. Most likely a juvenile with an unrefined appreciation of the arts.
This is the official song of the 2010 NBA playoffs... would you prefer rock or techno instead, I'm sure those would be the genres of music that best fit Jordan HIll's personality
Wow, im a white college student that plays volleyball, frisbee, and basketball and listens to every type of music. Just cause you dont like it doesnt meen you can take a shot at me. Calling me juvenile??? I just got paid for producing and editing a video for Exxon Mobil. You dont know anything about me, so dont begin to assume!!
Another thing that will benefit him is working on making his hands stronger. He fumbles the ball a lot similar to Yao.
rep....nice mix If Brooks is still on this team this coming season, he'll draw more attention than last year...Kevin Martin will draw attention....Yao Ming will draw attention....C-Bud will draw more attention...So Hill will probably get these same open looks, with a full year and off-season under his belt. Which is why I don't see a reason for trying to trade for a superstar PF that will demand a lot of money....The Rockets have had successful seasons with Hayes @ PF...there were times where he's had those same looks...but no jumper, and sometimes couldn't finish...Hill has proven as a rookie that he can finish...and he's a good free-throw shooter...that alone will make a big difference. IMO, the SF position is where we could or should upgrade w/ a back up center of course.
