Given his lack of experience, Hill's defense really impresses me. Its not just a matter of him having good height. Compare his defense to Amare's defense, and he's already well ahead.

He needs to just focus hard on adding polish his low post game, and gaining confidence and consistency on his midrange jumper. Then he'll be a very good piece for us next season (if he isn't traded).

The top 3 2nd rounders are usually productive? They are usually not productive or out of the league, after 3 years.

    2005
1 Salim Stoudamire(not in the rotation, played 0 games for the season)
2 Daniel Ewing(2.9 pts 1.5asts in 11.7 minutes on the Clippers)
    3 Brandon Bass(5.9 pts 2.8 rebs in 13.7 minutes)

    2006
1 James White (out of the league)
2 Novak(almost out of the league)
    3 Solomon Jones(career avg 3pts 2.2 rebs)

    2007
    1 Landry
2 Gabe Pruitt(out of the league)
3 Marcus Williams(out of the league)

    worzel gummidge, you were wrong.

Great. You've just covered 99% of rookies to ever play the NBA. So you're basically saying Hill isn't Lebron or Duncan or Magic. I tend to have lower standard that that when judging rookies. Especially when he's not a hyped up #1 once-in-a-decade player. But that's just me.

He's a great prospect and deserves playing time...but he really needs to concentrate on his footwork in the paint. His moves need a lot of work and with CD and Jack S. he should get some really excellent coaching in that area.

Apparently he has an excellent work ethic...and that means tremendous upside potential.

Look for a lot of improvement in that area by next season...and if it comes, he's going to be a key piece of the franchise.

    5 Blocks
his defensive presence by blocking shots and grabbing rebounds is unbelievable
he is better than Landry in this field
so we got a better scorer who helped the team improving its play in Martin
and we got a significant inside presence in defense and hopefully in offense in Hill
    Morey: u r a genius
so i would say yes start him to both develop and have an inside presence

You've got to be kidding. Hill was a lottery pick; Dorsey a second rounder.

there's a reason why the Rockets agreed to take on Jared Jefferies ridiculous salary.

nah i disagree, Hills has more potential than Dorsey cuz of his length and hes more skilled.. Joey was all power with little to no finess in his game..Hill has shown both attributes and I know knick fans are kickin themselves

ur credibility is very much indeed in doubt after comparing lowly Dorsey and potentially great Jordan Hill

Dorsey and Hill are two completely different players.

I don't know why people thought had such high expectations for a 2nd round draft pick in his second season.

I am looking through their threads-

The first two titles I see are-
    "FIRE D'ANTONI RIGHT NOW"
    "DON'T FIRE D'ANTONI RIGHT NOW"

I did punch out a girlfriend over Tracy McGrady... wasn't my girlfriend, though.

And I did throw an old lady down some stairs.

He has a 15 footer already...just needs to be more consistent with it...and look for it more often.

that's kind of unfair....he's been working on those free-throws since he became a Rocket.
