I believe Scola became a starter in his first year. And the difference between Scola's first year and what I've seen from Andersen this year is pretty evident to me. So to use Scola's first year as a barometer for Andersen is not only flawed, it's still speaks badly of Andersen's progress so far because Scola progressed into a starter in his first NBA season.

Basically they're 2 different players, one is a tough rugged player who can bang in the paint, while the other is a soft finesse player who can be muscled around rather easily.

I like his potential, but I have this sad feeling that he probably won't be here next year....

Does anyone have the highlights from Jordan Hill's career game against the Knicks?

I wasn't comparing their game, or how they play...I was comparing them as International players coming to the N.B.A and having to adapt.

Scola averaged 24 min. a game as a rookie and was only behind Chuck Hayes in the rotation before he becoming a starter.....Landry was a rookie and wasn't ready....Chucks offensive game was horrible and couldn't shoot free throws then. Mutombo was basically coming in for Yao at the C position.

I'm not knocking Scola, and I'm definitely not praising Andersens' game, but he's averaged only 14 mpg...and that has probably gone down since the trade...cause he's hardly played at all since then. He came in the season behind Scola, Landry, and Hayes....and now Jeffries and Hill. I'm not saying that's because he sucks or doesn't suck....but that he hasn't had the same opportunity to adapt as fast as Scola has.
