Reuters Thailand - When confronted at his apartment in Bangkok by Lt. Gen. Suwat Tumrongsiskul, head of immigration police, John Mark Karr said "Did I do that??" Karr finally admitted killing Ramsey, but had told his interrogators it was "unintentional."
Just got home from work. I'll stay away from the social commentary and stay on the facts. I've only heard a few comments on the case. I still think the Ramsey's did it. If they find this guy's DNA under JonBenet's fingernails, I'll be convinced. Or if the prosecutors actually charge him with the crime, that will probably be enough for me.
Just for kicks tonight, I've been switching back and forth between CNN and Fox. I know this may come as a shock, but both channels are having WALL TO WALL JonBenet coverage. Bill Oreilly interviewed Greta Van Sustran (who has her own show in another hour, right?) and she was practically fingering herself while talking about it. The blonde MILF chick on CNN (don't know her name) had a discussion panal and they were just giddy with excitement while talking about it. Laughing and giggling, making jokes, etc. Really bizarre.
After reading some details, this guy is obviously a liar. 1 He said it was an accident but it's clear she was brutally murdered. 2 He said he drugged her, but no drugs were found in her system. 3 He said he picked her up from school and took her home, but school was not in session at the time of the murders. 4 The unanimous extreme caution about his guilt from the authorities and from "experts" who have followed the case closely cast serious doubt. This guy gets his 15 minutes of fame and hopefully we never hear from him again.
They didn't reveal who died or who lived, I don't think. I missed the first 20 minutes though. Good episode.
Mrs. Giddy and I were just talking about it. The only clue is the crestfallen face of the girl's mother while the boy's mother's face remains strong. It is definitely vague.
Don't know about him, but the guy in back looks like Benicio Del Toro's and John Leguizamo's love child.
It gets weirder... _____ Dead Psychic's Sketch Of JonBenet Killer Revisited Psychic Dorothy Allison believed she knew what JonBenet's killer looked like and provided a sketch to the Ramsey family, based on her visions. The Ramsey family Web site published the sketch, asking the public, "Have you seen this man? This man may have been in the Boulder area in December 1996." The sketch was also given to Boulder police, who continued to insist that nobody outside the family was likely involved in the crime. ''In 30 years, I've never had accurate information from a psychic,'' a veteran law enforcement officer told The Denver Post in 1995. ''But the information by Dorothy Allison was right on the money.'' "She said that the killer crawled in through the cellar, went in through the window, upstairs and grabbed Jon Benet and that's all she would say to me," said Bob. Bob said his wife would be joyous to see this case unfold. Bob read from one of Allison's notes: "'This man went unnoticed in the house. The Ramsey's are not responsible for the death of the child. This is my true and honest belief.' She had written this March 21, 1998 at 8:20am." Bob said authorities would come to Allison asking for help in many cases. But, he said, in the Ramsey case, Boulder police didn't contact her. full article/ video
People on Newsvine say that this guy is wanted on various other sexual charges in Thailand, and that he's trying to be found guilty of this murder so he is in American jail instead of Thai jail, which would be a whole lot worse. IMO, the confession is a lie -- it's not unheard of for people to confess to things they didn't do.
The uncanny facial resemblance among these three men has gone unnoticed: The man at the front, of course.
Weirder... _____ JonBenet suspect heads to U.S. in style The 41-year-old teacher sat in a business class window seat next to Mark Spray, an investigator with the Boulder County District Attorney's office. A U.S. Embassy official and an agent with "Homeland Security" on his T-shirt were also part of the escort party. Before takeoff, Karr took a glass of champagne from a flight attendant and clinked glasses with Spray, who sipped orange juice. Dinner on board, served on a starched white tablecloth with silverware, was one many passengers would envy. Karr started with a pate, then had a green salad with walnut dressing. The main course was fried king prawn with steamed rice and broccoli. Karr drank a beer, crushing the can with his hands when it was empty, then moved on to a glass of French chardonnay with his main course. "It seems odd to me. If there is an arrest warrant issued, he ought to be under arrest," said former Adams County District Attorney Bob Grant, who was involved in the Ramsey investigation. "It is very strange. Whoever is in control of him ought to make sure he isn't doing things like drinking champagne." link
