He was also in contact with someone who wrote a book on the whole ordeal and that person probably had details of the case not yet public. In any case, this guy looks the part. And I'll get the rumor mill really going and say this guy is terminal with AIDS, he has that look as well. In any case whether he did it or not until we find out more I'm on the fence as to whther he is a fanboy looking for attention or the killer (on his death bed with AIDS looking for a clean slate into the afterlife)
I read this and the ex wife of this creep says he was in Alabama at the time... I hope this is solved, but to me, he looked up info and is trying to get notariety (msp?)
Here's a question... Why is it that cases like this one get so much attention? This is probably going to end up in D&D because of me, but here goes... In a country that supposedly cares so much about children and their welfare, we sure are picky about which one's we want to see on TV. There are far more poor and/or minority children abducted, murdered and assaulted every year than white middle class kids. And while that does raise it SLIGHTLY in terms of its uniqueness as a story, I think it is shameful that when it is a girl who happens to be a beauty queen like Ramsey or white and attractive like Natalee Holloway, suddenly it's STOP THE FREAKING PRESSES! Where is the national media when the child isn't white or beautiful by today's standards? Where is our national obsession then? Where are Geraldo and Larry King, CNN and Fox News when other children are missing or murdered? Sorry, that just really pisses me off.
And if a minority was murdered in a home or abducted in a grocery store, you still see quite a bit of it. There was a huge story a month ago about a black person being followed around by a convicted sex offender. I think it has more to do with where and how the child was attacked than the color of their skin. I mean, there simply isn't a big story when someone gets killed in a drive-by, as awful as that sounds.
I'm so tired of this argument. I would rather discuss the merits of whether this guy could have killed her or not. I mean if it bothers you so much why not just go make a thread in D&D about this very subject?
What story are you speaking of? did i get NEAR the attention JonBenet got? or Holloway? H*ll four women were killed in Acres Homes. . and didn't get as much attention IN HOUSTON as JonBenet of Holloway If you are of color. . . he news just don't give a sh*t it does not sell papers. . . and it don't sell ad space Rocket River
Thats true. There was a serial killer lurking around north Houston, and most people aren't even familiar with the case.
Why do these dirtbags always go by three names. Him "Hi, I'm John Karr." Me "Hey dude what's up?" Him "Hi I'm John Mark Karr" Me "Stay away from my daughter"
Are you saying that minorities are never murdered in a home or abducted in a grocery store? There has never been as much media coverage towards minorities that go missing or are murdered as there was in the Ramsey case, the Smart case, the Holloway case or the Petersen case. Why doesn't CNN cover the Acres Homes case as much as those other four? First off...wow. Minorities are only killed in drive-bys? None have been kidnapped or killed in their homes? There was a pregnant woman found dead in San Francisco Bay around the same time as Laci Petersen. Where was all the media coverage then?
That is pretty much the truth. Of course if you are an unattractive white trash, no one will care about you either.
Was there national round-the-clock CNN coverage for weeks about it? There was talk about this during the Holloway case and various members of the media said that it pretty much has to do with the wealth and influence of the family. Due to the attention the Holloway family managed to create, Holland actually sent freaking jet fighters to help in the search. It was a bit absurd. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missing_white_woman_syndrome
First off, stop with the "wow." I mentioned about the case with the minority being fondled at a Walmart making big news. I personally haven't noticed it. Maybe y'all are right. But then, that would mean that news-media is *gasp* biased!
exactly , it is not a race issue, most times the race card is played it is not a race issue but in fact it is using people's insecurity about other races to work the situation to their advantage.
That's the worst thing that's happened to a minority? They've never suffered through being killed by their husbands, taken from their bedroom at night, gotten drunk and gone missing on vacation, or killed in their house? The worst they've gone through is being fondled at a Wal-Mart?
It became a big deal when the suspicion was on the "well to do" parents. It was way more about them than JonBenet.
it has more to do with our fasination with sensational stories and the media's willingness to exploit that than covering real news that affects us all.
