I like how 10% libertarians wait with baited breath for the opportunity to go left field with the discussion followed by an oblique reference to impeach the president.

Nowhere in Turley's speech does he call for a decentralization of federal power. The excerpt sounds more a call to reassert traditional assumptions of checks and balances.

We are already living in the era of instant governance and sound byte reactions from government leaders... compare that with the age where messages where hand delivered by horse, acoross the sea, and on horse again.

To dismiss that reality as some socialist conceit proposed as The Solution only exposes how far off you are with what's already happening right here, right now for the past half century and beyond.

I'm not saying that's what I want to continue. what I'm saying is that Turley and subsequently you haven't addressed the problem as it is now, nor has a feasible solution been presented that fits with today's realities.

Claiming "how workable it was" during the days when we were primarily an agrarian society and economy is more crazy old uncle talk than something that's readily actionable and accepted by the American public.

He wants it restored to the Congress, which is less centralized than if it were vested in a single executive.

The solution is individual liberty, spontaneous order arising from voluntary human interaction.
