They should move up and get Jeremy Lamb. Only a sophomore.

Averaging 17.7 points a game already
    nearly 5 rebounds
    6ft5

    Harrison Barnes a sophomore

pretty good sized at 6ft 8
    17 points and 5 rebounds a game.

Remember when the Rockets traded three first round picks for the rights to the 7th overall pick?

It's because we have a standing rule. No player can be taller than the coach. That's why we traded DaBeet.

Or to replace Scola we go a long defender who can rebound and score some in John Henson.

6ft 10 and lanky with long arms
defender at the powerforward position with 2.9 blocks per game
    rebounder who averaged over 10
still score and has some upside as a JR.

Actually this is who we should pick. Either this guy or if some potential star falls to the pick the Rockets move up to. Someone like Drummond or Thomas Robinson.

Good points. But when he played against Kansas, with NBA first rounders at the 4 and 5, he was pretty ineffective.

We are not going to move up and if we do, maybe 12th max.

That's true. But that is primarily due to the fact that KU packed it in. And for practically every game, Sully faced defenses that were packing it in and daring OSU to beat them from the outside.

The NBA game has much, much more spacing compared to college. Sully is going to be a very good pro, probably a hall of famer.

A reasonable opinion, that I respectfully disagree with.

He is a big guy down low. Similar to Karl Malone in size and movement. He doesnt have the same jumper. He can rebound and score at a clip that may end up better than Scola on both fronts. He will certainly be harder to push around down low.

My memory may not be what is used to be, but didn't that move bring Motiejunas, the brightest prospect the Rockets have seen in many years?

...And when last year's #20 overall pick who has yet to log a single NBA minute is your brightest prospect, therein lies the rub.

    Easy there.

When the reason he has not logged a minute was due to the uncertainty of the season even happening because of the CBA negotiation? IMHO, after playing in Europe this past year, Motiejunas would have serious consideration as a top 5 pick this year.

    We have a winner!

"Try" is somewhat admirable, "do," more so, but only "done" counts.

Trade up for Beal. Hey Portland.... you want Lowry?

That's the biggest problem for us, because that is the one player Portland will probably target and desperately want. A dynamic scoring shooting guard, like Beal to replace the void left by Brandon Roy. I've even seen scenarios were they might even trade up to try and grab him earlier.

I said it before. Morey can find diamonds in the rough very well, but can't find anything in a jewelry store. Maybe he should just limit himself to drafting in the second round.

Patterson had significant minutes in his 1st season and performed well. Even Pats playing hurt all season got more playing time. Morris is not what you think he is.

They need a PG more. They at least have Matthews and Batum to fill in. The Blazers worst position is PG. And if they want, we'll give them Martin for Nolan Smith and rights to Victor Claver
