    Some posters still feel that his expiring contract will yield positive results. There seems to be a slim chance of that. The fact that DM is being lowballed, is not surprising at all. There is a fair amount of denial on the board.

    mcgrady never asked for more shots, he asked for more time, in fact he said he was willing to play adelman's system, he was into sharing the ball and hustling, adelman simply just does not believe mcgrady is ready to play, it is clear he does not want another chris webber.

    at least this way mcgrady can continue to build strength in that knee, i imagine he is using this situation as motivation for an elite return, i hope his dreams/and mine come true

    The more I read about this situation, the more I'm persuaded that Adelman's public comments are on the level. He's focused on chemistry and teamwork and winning games with a ball-movement offense, and he's afraid that McGrady will mess that up. It ain't broke, so don't fix it, and certainly don't break it.
