Im fine with taking a flyer on bamba and extending him a long term contract at the mle.

He has all the length and "potential" you could desire and would fit an area of need.

He is not a smart defender by any means tho. His defensive impact is all athleticism and length, which im a-ok with.

Outside of bamba, nothing intrigues me except resigning bruno for cheap as a back end rotation peace.

    Please not Mo Bamba.

He has all the gear, but no idea.

Shockingly bad defender at a spot where you look for a big guy to plug the lane

What chance this is like being "intrigued" by Jaden Ivey at 4 - tailored release of intentions so people won't look to trade up and snatch falling centers right before 17 and 26?

Not necessarily. Do you remember Stromile Swift? All the athletic talent in the world but absolutely nothing between the ears. Couldn't learn plays on the offensive or defensive end. It's really hard to be a good NBA player if you don't have a mind for that sort of thing.

Smh. Trolling or delusional? Green's defense improved drastically towards end of last year. Sengun was ALWAYS in foul trouble & out of position on defense
Again, how can you talk defense but advocate for Sengun to start? Mo Bamba's 100 times better on D

Neither, it's just true. He was one of the worst defensive players in the league, he had a 120 defensive rating before the all star game and a 121 after it....he was NEVER any good defensively, his improvement was almost all on offense.

Sengun was constantly having to make up for the fact that everyone around him was trash defensively, he was an 18 year old sole big trying to challenge everything with absolutely no talent around him. There's not a big in the history of the league that wouldn't struggle in that spot.

If we add Banchero, it'll at least mean that Sengun will no longer be the sole big and IMO that'll help a lot. I'm hoping Green eventually develops into at least a mediocre defender and that would help quite a bit.

If Brook Lopez can start getting DPoY votes in MIL in his 30s, Bamba can improve defensively at 24

THIS is why I laugh at Sengun fans here lol. Everything is everybody's fault but Sengun's. You cry ALL year about his playing time, but when he plays, at a low level, its Silas & his teammates fault.

The guy is singled out almost every time down court on defense, yet its his teammates fault for his shortcomings? Teams aren't isolating Green like I stated

I'm not sure I have advocated for Sengun to start? At the moment he would because we have no other C.
I would prefer we try and source a starter C to play 25 minutes

    Brook Lopez likes basketball though.

It’s just a job for Mo Bamba.

I liked Bamba coming out of Texas but he has proven to have really poor anticipation and while he does what is asked of him, he isn’t driven like Lopez is.

Centres with experience, not just rookie or young centres
