No way Sengun should be starting with his liabilities on defense

Bamba would be interesting since Chet’s floor kind of seems like skinny Mo Bamba.

You draft Jabari or Paulo and sign Bamba you might get the best of both worlds :D

i dont see the need for any temporary/stop gap positions...
if there's a young guy that the fo feels can take the next step - and they wanna gamble and sign him to a multi year deal with the plan he matures with the group - cool.
if theres a center with potential that we wanna snag in the draft - cool...
otherwise, deal with the growing pains of having Sengun as your primary center... Boban is a reasonable backup on an expiring... and give Garuba some burn and decide if he's in the future plans...

Y’all gotta get over this Ivey nonsense. Especially with us trading Wood, it’s obvious we’re taking the big that’s left on the board. Ivey is not gonna be a rocket!!!!!!!

Teams weren't singling out Green at the end of last year, it was Sengun. You REALLY don't pay attention

Lol teams were picking on Green all season long... he was the worst defensive player on the roster..... and Sengun was one of the best.

If you don't realize that, I'm not sure how we can have this conversation.

It seems trendy to pretend Sengun was a bad defender as the 18 year old sole big on a team where he was surrounded by some of the worst defenders in the league.... but that's not really tethered to reality.

He did pretty well all things considered and projects as a plus defender.

Why bother with this idiot. HTG is fine with black players that don’t play defense. He looks at everything from the prism of skin pigmentation.

Yes, a center to backup Sengun. I think it’ll be a more defensive center. Possibly a starter if Sengun is too much of a liability on D.

If we had any type of brain power in the FO/management they would go hard at DA. He wants out of Phoenix.

Let me tell you all right now for the last time, the Rockets are not an attractive team for big time free agents to sign with them. At this moment only mediocre players are willing to sign with Rockets. Players like Daniel Theis and Nwaba. Those type of mediocre players will only take away minutes from young talent that deserve growth like Josh Christopher, and other young talent. What the Rockets need to do right now is just focus on building through the draft with young talent. Once they hit rock bottom with the right young talent, THEN big name free agents will be willing to sign with the Rockets.
Stone needs to stop doing acid, and realize that.

As a backup 5, we need a rim protector and if he's an enforcer even better. Bruno seems like he can fill that role and may still have some upside. If not him, I'd be for bringing Hart back, think we gave up on him way too soon.

I think signing Claxton would be a good addition. He had a good playoff series against Boston.

Feigen confirmed in an article that "the Rockets plan to enter next season with Alperen Sengun as their starting center."

That's great news and many of our own fans are going to be shocked at how unusually big a jump he'll make from year 1 to year 2.
