I can vouch that government healthcare is close to the best you get compared to private insurance. My mother was a parole officer for over 20 years and her coverage really came in handy when my dad grew ill with lung cancer. My father had a higher income and worked for the state as well, but it was really my mom's coverage that helped with the bulk of the bills.

He had cancer the size of a grapefruit on his left lung. The cancer was starting to grow around his heart but thankfully never did. He was able to go through over a year's worth of chemotherapy, radiation, and the best treatment to cope with all the stuff that was being injected in him to survive and shrink the tumor down to the size of a prune. Despite all of that he was projected to have a 5% chance to survive the surgery he had been preparing for. He got the best surgeon in Houston who I think is one of the best in the world, and thankfully he survived. He still had to receive chemo but the cancer went into remission.

He was able to live 6 years longer thanks to it. The costs were minimal for us. I never heard any talks about losing our home, or making sacrifices on living expenses to pay it all back. We were never in debt and if we were I never heard about it from my mother. Being a parole officer is pretty average pay but government run healthcare is amazing.

That's what I was trying to understand.

For you alone? Remember, VA doesn't offer spouse or family healthcare benefits.

Mystery solved - Southern Select is probably the BBS Poster formerly known (and at one point, I think banned) as Artesticle, who displayed a penchant for eerily similar views and posts:

I guess "Arizacle" would have been too much of a giveaway?

I'm not defending Kristol but Stewart is just as bad as Bill-O when it comes to interrupting and attempting to smother his opponent.

Very very true, but as opposed to O'Reilly, if Kristol would have made more of a vocal attempt to rectify his language, Stewart would have let him have his time.
