I think you've confused Jon with Brent.

Rockets are a poor 3pt shooting team. They're twenty-something in the league at shooting 3s

I'm tired of these so called analyst disrespecting our streak. The Spurs losing to the Nuggets proves how hard it is to maintain a long winning streak in this league, especially in the west. 17 wins is damn impressive no matter how many "quality wins" were lumped in there.

I like how they discount the win against Dallas because of Dirk. They don't think to include the fact that we beat them without their best player while also playing without our best player. I mean we beat teams that were weak teams, if our team isn't that good, why should we be able to beat these weak teams? On top of that, how are we able to beat these supposed weak teams by double digits? If it's just a fluke, then why do the Rockets bother showing up and even trying in the game since their going to win anyway, right?

I do agree that there were some games that weren't against quality opponents and that some of the wins weren't "quality", yet Jon doesn't qualify what a "quality" win is supposed to be. We played with effort each game, but I guess every team is supposed to do that. How about effiency, low turnovers, high assist...hmm I guess he doesn't think that's part of a quality win. How about winning by double digits? Guess not. So Jon, what exactly consitutes a quality win?

Even with Yao I had my doubts about this team. I figured it was a nice streak, but eventually we would cool down. Now I don't see that happening any time soon.

We may not be able to keep up our streak for much longer (tomorrow will be tough, but NO is on the second night of a back-to-back and without their all-star PF), but this team will still play tough no matter the opponent. They remind me of the Pistons of a few years ago, not personnel wise since they don't have a goto guy while we have Tmac, but with team chemistry and hustle.

We are going to surprise everyone this year. First it will be by getting home court advantage, and then it will be advancement in the playoffs.

what quality teams have we beaten over a 17 freaking game winning streak? gimme a break jon. don't pick it apart, just enjoy it. we could beat memphis 17 times in a row and this would still be impressive. to win this many in a row against any nba competition is something to be proud of and something that should be recognized as special. it's unfortunate that i've heard significantly more backhanded slaps in the face then compliments over the past week. i don't care if these guys question our championship potential, but there should definitely be more appreciation of what we're doing.

i guess it shouldn't matter but i'm f@#king tired of cleveland and lebron james and we spanked him twice during this run. can you imagine if lebron james had his team on a 17 game winning streak right now. a giant picture of his c@#k would just be the first 15 minutes of sportscenter.

Our best player is TMAC. Yao is no longer with this team. We are going to the playoffs without Yao, they are going to the playoffs (maybe) with Dirk.

Jon Barry knows a quality win we he sees one. Beating teams by 10+ several times in a row just doesn't qualify though...

The first time JB appeared on ESPN as an analyst I sensed a little cockiness in teh way he expressed his opinions. It's like he was too comfortable there or over confident. I thought he was just nervous but after soo many times watching him, he looked like a clown to me.

If he comes to cover the Rocekts next time, I'll be the first one to BOO him.

Jon Barry was part of the reason why we collapse in the Dallas series for making stupid comments.

LOL... It's so true. I know some of the things he does are incredible but his team hasn't proved anything yet. And I would love to met them in the finals.

Everyone in the media loved to make it a point earlier in the year when the Rox were everyone's b****. Now that they've turned it around and the schedule has evened out, playing without Yao Ming and they beat THE TEAMS THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BEAT, they still can't catch a break.
Screw 'em. Let 'em talk about LaBron and Kobe and let them take baths together. The league has been trying for years to make one of them another Jordan and IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN.
And just let the Rox keep winning under the radar and one day the East Coast and LA media will look up and see the standings.

hey Jon you sure you don't wanna jump back on the bandwagon before it leaves without you? I'm sorry man.. looks like you got your blinders on.. been hanging around the TNT crew lately? Even after your "non-analysis" the other night and complete discredit of the Rockets streak.. you do still have some fans here. We understand. Everyone else is on the Spurs bandwagon.. and you know how the saying goes.

speaking of the Spurs what happened to the almighty team that got beat by a Nuggets team we handled pretty easily without Yao? No good teams eh? pffft.

do a "little" research next time at least.

I personally think the analyst are a little biased....

I've noticed that when bad things happen to us...they highlight that thing like its the results or highlights of a championship game.
    Ex. Yao Ming Injury

When we have good things going for us...they mention it once and continue.
    Ex. Win Streak

They are looking for one game where we screw up, but I think its because we don't have a guy that ESPN can suck on
New orleans: they love chris paul
Dallas: they love that whole freaking team
Lakers: kobe and his whole gang
San Antonio: Duncan, Parker, Pop, ginobili, horry, and everyone else on team
Utah, Houston, and now Phoenix don't ..phoenix did but since nash isn't performing they don't like him

Moral: ESPN are bandwagon followers that only ride the winner so they never seem wrong. In one of tmac's interviews he said to a media reporter "You know what, these rumors from espn and all these other places doesn't bother me because hey, when it comes right down to it...i can do your job equally as good as you or better, but you cannot do mine. It isn't easy." LOL funny thing is the reporter said back "People think our jobs are easy too"

Lakers couldnt beat Portland to keep their streak alive.

    The Rockets could.

Spurs couldn't beat Denver to keep their streak alive.

    The Rockets could.

    the so-called MVP, LeBron James?

    The Rockets beat them twice.

This season, the Rockets have won in Dallas, Utah, Los Angeles, Phoenix and New Orleans.

Some of these without their Big Man. Some without T-Mac.

What more do they want? they are 27-4 in 2008.

keep hating, haters! it makes us Rocket fans proud!
