[Jon Barry] Show me a quality win during the 17 win streak

I continue to be amazed @ how many analysts don't do research before they comment on something.

I expect that out of Charles B., and others, but not J. Barry.

 

People forget that the Rockets have beaten the SA Spurs twice this year and Suns and Utah once on the road even if it wasn't part of the streak.

Yes, we are missing Yao but the team is playing well. Beating Denver without Yao was impressive and even a Dirkless Dallas wasn't an easy proposition. I admit a major part of the reason why we beat GS and NO was because of Yao and the streak could end tomorrow but I feel that the players are more resilient and have the ability to fight their way to the playoffs.I'm not expecting more than this from our guys and nothing is certain but I feel that our guys won't give up when things get difficult and honestly that's the only thing that matters.

Why is there no respect given? 17 wins in a row? How can you dog it? Why not point out the fact that we're blowing them out? Why not talk about the fact that teams we've blown out have beaten other top teams recently? (LA lost to Atlanta and Portland for pete's sake) I don't understand why people just want to sweep it under the rug. Whatever, I like these jerkoff's mentality. It has certainly been firing up the Rockets lately. I want another win so bad against New Orleans tomorrow. I'm sure when we win, people will say it wasn't impressive because we were at home.

 

When we beat the Hornets tomorrow, it will because they didn't have David West.

And when we beat Boston in the finals, it was because Boston was exhausted from being "rode too hard" (LOL Mav fans) in the regular season and wore out in the postseason.

 

I don't think these are their real opinions anyways. Looks like ESPN tells them what to say. Or at least tells them to not agree with each other and state different opinions. Barry has flip flopped many times. It's just entertainment now I guess, no more analysis.

 

Here is the logic:

1. Rockets is a bad team.
2. Any team that was beaten by rockets are worse than Rockets.
3. Show me quality win? Of course None.

4. Their streak is overrated until they meet a team and they lose. That team will be the quality team.

 

All thats left to do is roll this streak through the Fakers and Boston!

 

You know what? I don't give a crap what the media has to say about the Rockets. I would be more worried if everybody was on our bandwagon and pumping us full of sunshine. Word to the wise- most so-called 'experts' in any walk of life are usually full of crap.

It's entertainment. Sometimes they make you take a side and your job is to prove your point even if you don't believe it. I gotta believe that because the other option is Jon Barry is just stupid to think Denver, Dallas New orleans twice Cleveland twice, Golden State, etc. are not quality teams.

It is just so obvious that the Rockets are playing impressive basketball, look at the stats...

They played Denver who was so determined to beat us announcing how big a game it was that George Karl took over the shoot around to pay attention to detail. We blew them out.

The Dallas game was against a division rival who was 25-3 at home and was extra motivated to destroy us because a win would keep them ahead of us in the standings and bust our streak and the Rockets blew them out.

The Rockets are not just in a streak they are 26-4 IN 2008 and all of those losses are without either Tmac or Yao and they still could have easily won 3 out of 4 of those games with a couple breaks. (IMPRESSIVE!)

The Rockets have won 11 games on the Road breaking a Rockets record and nearing an NBA record (AMAZING)

The Rockets have won 8 straight by double digits. Which ties a NBA record. (AWESOME!)

The Rockets have not trailed after the 1st quarter in any game since the all star break. (SIMPLY INCREDIBLE!)

And finally the Rockets have won the last 5 games without Yao by a margin of plus 18. (END OF DISCUSSION!)

 

Jon Barry is just saying what he needs to say to motivate T-mac. He knows how to push t-mac's buttons.

 

keep underestimating us, please. it makes us all the more dangerous, and makes you (not "you", as in someone on this board, but "you", as in all the biased criticss. we had an incredibly tough schedule the first half of the year, but no credit for surviving that. now that we are playing "weak" opponents, 17 wins in a row isn't impressive. whatever. i laugh at these clowns. barkley is the ringleader. we'll eventually lose a game, and the neysayers will revel in their foresight that we are a fluke. no problem. if/when we bounce back and continue to play GREAT team basketball, it will show who knows anything about this sport, who has enough character to admit they were wrong, and most importantly, it will show that this team has taken leaps and bounds, and is a serious contender in the most competitive western conference in at least the 30 years i've been watching basketball.

This can't be true! Jon Barry would never say such things!

ESPN was able to find someone with a similar voice to jon and had him call in to that show to make stephen A look smarter.

I like Jon Barry but I am not sure whether he did say this about our streak wins,and if he did, who cares? Let's just show those so called experts more great wins and that's the best way to shut them up.
