    Anyone notice how Jon Barry calls Dirk Nowitzki "Germanator/Germinator" on the air now?

    Flip back to 2005.

    Germinator wasn't even Dirk's nickname, it was Ryan Bowen's nickname Barry coined during the Mavs series because Bowen was considered the "dirk stopper".

    Check it back, Germinator was NEVER Dirk's nickname in fact it was a Dirk diss and Rybo's nickname.

    JB...Rocket at heart?

    Technically it doesnt make sense as a diss term because the terminator is the bad ass in the movies, so im guessing he's using it now because he realized it makes more sense as a nickname for him, since he's destroying defenses.

    This is a non-issue. The Mav's radio announcers have been using this term to describe Dirk for the past 12 years.

    i read the papers today about arnold schwarnegger and he is now dubbed "Sperminator" due to his latest love child scandal but they also mentioned he was once known as Terminator (during his acting days) and Governator (as a Gov of LA). i guess Jon is just using the same terminology cos Dirk is german hence Germanator?

    i dont really like Dirk too cos of Dallas but then, i think he worked really hard to be where he is now, i wish him all the best. but out of the 4 teams left standing, i want Bulls to win, Tom Thibedieu!!
