    WHO HOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm ecstatic. And I'm going to be obnoxious as all get-out and toot my horn a bit; after Barry's entertaining pregame speech when the season started, I posted that it would be great if he retired and joined the Rockets broadcast booth. The Chronicle even had a footnote on it.

As George Castaza would say, "It's all LOCKING in, baby!"

After Yao's Dominance, this really is the best news of the season.

I'm just giddy right now. Finally, the broadcasts will be tolerable?

I haven't even heard him broadcast a game yet and already I hope they give him both home and away games next season. Bull is ok, but I'm about 90% certain I'd prefer Jon Barry.

    Heheheheh.

Yeah, we should have kept Cynthia 'Please-Put-A-Bullet-In-My-Brain-Before-I-Have-To-Either-See-Or-Hear-Her-Again' Cooper.

    LOL

    (you ARE being funny, right?)

To this day, I still can't fathom what possible logic the Rox could've had behind the hiring of Clyde 'Mr. Colorless commentary' Drexler...he almost drove me to drinking having to suffer through games with his annoying, repetitive crap...I feel as if I became dumber just by tuning in for a few games this season when he's doing the games.

Thank God for the mute button...

Bill: Clyde right now, don't they need to get it inside to Yao.
Clyde: Definitely. They need to get it inside to the big fella.

    ---------------------

Bill: Now that is a great defensive move.
    Clyde: Great defensive move.

    ---------------------

Bill: Now he got up there kind of like you used to.
    Clyde: (Chuckles)

    ---------------------

Sure going to miss you clyde.
    Miss you clyde.

Barry also has been with the team for a while, in the locker room and on roadtrips. He has a good relationship with JVG so he can give us insight and first hand perspective of what the Rockets are trying to do under JVG. He knows when the team is messing up and not following the game plan and the detailed guidance JVG gives them. He might even be able to throw in some funny stories about some of the Rockets players from the times he spent with the team.

Bottom line, this is the best news I have heard since the Rox fell off the playoff race. It helps to look forward to the rockets having a winning season next year with JB and Worrell on the tube.

    GO ROX!!

The thing about Clyde is he just throws out any cliches he can think of. If you took a drink everytime a cliche came out of Clyde's mouth you wouldn't make it to the 4th quarter.

Bullard's good for atleast two failed attempted jokes per night.
