When Jon Barry retired, I actually had high hopes for his broadcasting career. He seemed like a smart, funny guy from his interviews as a Rockets player.
Was it Barry that talked about how Barnes was trying to play peacemaker when he grabbed on to Harden and wouldn't let go?
There were a few "You have to give the Rockets a lot of credit" type comments too. I rather liked the "stunned silence" reaction, personally. I find it more gratifying, somehow.
He's pissed b/c he's the only non-champion among him, Brent, and Rick. SUCK IT, BARRY, YOU DUMBASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The end of game..."well, you have to give this Rockets team a lot of credit." That's what local announcers of favored teams say about underdogs. That's not what National Broadcasters say about the biggest comeback in NBA history in a freaking Game 6 on the road. My god. How can you miss that moment as an announcer. it was totally like listening to the home feed in a disappointed and embarrassing loss
Working that regerse jinx hopefully Barry is a chump and him referring to the clippers as "WE" confirms this. F*** that guy his no heart having ass was apart of that team that got whooped by 30 in a game 7 against our rival in 05 and i couldnt stand him then.
I agree, but I think you're being generous. Not hyperbole, but even a local broadcast would have been more professional and respectful to the game. Barry let his true colors fly and executed full-on "axe to grind" mode. Made an ass out of himself really...
