This only motivates more the Houston Rockets. I hope all the Rockets players have read this and got enraged.

i fully expect us to move up in the standings, not fall out. i don't blame people for feeling like losing our best player knocks us completely out, but i disagree. we're much deeper then we've been before.

I agree I see us being either the 3rd or 5th seed (Utah being 4) but I also think we went from being one of about 5-6 teams that could win the title to a team that might win a playoff series or two but will fall to either a San Antonio or LAL team that is 100% healthy.

Let's just hope the team keeps playing like this into May and Yao is back 100% next season

I saw that halftime show. It was just one of those "which side do you wanna pick, I'll do the other" jobs between him and Wilbon. Neither or them really believed what they were saying given their body language. I just think neither of them cares because on a national stage it really is irrelevant whether or not Houston loses before or during the first round of the playoffs.

But what they don't realize is that we'll get out of the first round for the first time in a decade. The press never sees anything coming.

Did all these critics forgot last year when we went 20-12 without Yao and Tmac carried us? This team is much more motivated than last year since we are on 14 win streak. Critics are so freaken naive sometimes.

It could end up a good thing he didn't. It might mean a roster spot for Brad Newley next season. Newley's numbers are:

    Uleb Cup: FG: 63.8%, 3P: 40%
    Greek League: FG:68%, 3P:45%

Barry's too old to dunk now, but Newley can, and he throws it down hard :D

nobody things we are a serious contender.

frankly, why should they? We don't have our best player.

But - our guys are playing like they still believe they are a contender. It's interesting to watch.
