No one will ever be on his level. Nobody has that aura.

Great read. Repped. I have one problem...serving with US Marines does not make J. Bach a Marine.

I'd also take it with a grain of salt but good read nonetheless.

I actually believe all that stuff.

Jordan must be a miserable human being. The qualities that made him the best basketball player (and maybe the best competitor) ever are the same ones that make him an insufferable jerk who has no real friends in his life.

Im sure his best friends are Benjamin, Cleveland ,Mckinley and consumers of his products...Who needs real friends when fake ones are around you so much??

Im not sure but the part where he tells Mugsy Bogues to shoot the damn ball in game 5 might not be true.

In 1994-1995 the series was never tied at 2 as the bulls won in 4 games. There was never a game 5.

In 1995-1996 the Hornets didnt make the playoffs.

I got the info from wiki, can anyone else confirm?

    When did that happen?

As a little girl, I used to like MJ alot, to death almost, but I've heard so many stories about him from other famous people and even fans. I'm started to be somewhat ashamed that I rooted for him.

He is like one of those guys you would wish a elephant to run over. I'm glad Madonna told him off.

    transexual ;)

should've said grandpa... you get the drift

BTW, the part about girls having to go through four detectives sounds exactly like those spiced up war stories I was referring to.

No sign of Mugsy (on the court, anyway), Dell Curry, David Wingate and Hersey Hawkins were in the backcourt at the end of game, and series was 2-1. Larry Johnson took all of the shots for the Hornets in the last 27 seconds of the game.

MJ might have said that, but it wasn't in this game or at least near the end as the story purports.

Yup, thats what I was thinking. I looked everywhere for a game 5 of that series to no avail.

Bach is old, so maybe his story is up and down, but nonetheless, very good post by op.

So did Mugsy Bogues appear in that cartoon movie with Michael Jordan before or after he called him a midget?

Fascinating stuff. It reminded me just how absolutely ruthless Jordan was as a player and probably a human being. Talent and hard work aside, maybe that's what it takes to be "truly great" in sports.

MJ was fortunate he wasn't facing Hakeem in 93.

MJ: Hey Dream, let's play golf before the next game.

Dream: GTFO! I'm here for the championship.

MJ: C'mon brother, chill a little.

Dream: I've got no time for golf. I'm coming for you.

I don't think you have to be a hater to suggest that Michael wasn't the all-time best at EVERY facet of the game.

Jordan is easily in the top 3 players of all time. He may very well be the greatest player of all time. I'm not taking anything away from him at all.

Nice read, maybe a lot of truths exaggerated for the dramatics, reminds me of the Jordan Rules book.
