I think this is BEST for all parties in the long run. I've always said, OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND! Wall needs to be playing in order to facilitate a trade.

With Wall, Green, Porter, Gordon, Brooks and Matthew's all playing in the back court! That's only going to create competition and facilitate trade talks.

If we can find a home for Ego and House there is a good 20 minutes available for him to play. But I don’t think we are getting best offers till Feb.

Full pre game conference, but most of it on Wall.

Walker, Barrett, and Toppin for Wall and House.

    Trade Machine approves.

    Yea it's a tough trade.

Kemba, Fournier, Noel and Knox is enough to match Wall's # but this team has 0 roster spots so you start having to think about third and fourth teams and then likely having to waive Nwaba and House or finding new homes into other teams space. It's a very tough trade, trading a $44M in the offseason is nearly impossible, I can't imagine they can pull this off in December.

Their salary for Walker is wrong.

Yeah I tried a trade with an accurate trade machine that had Kemba's salary, it's not doable. They'd need to send out half their roster to match salary, and some players who can't even be traded. There literally isn't a trade that can be made for Wall without somebody giving up their actual stars, I've tried every single team, it doesn't exist. It's even more laughable that people think he's tradeable as an expiring next year, nobody is giving up their best and next best players for an expiring contract, and that's exactly what they'd have to do to trade for Wall.

What’s John Wall’s endgame? He doesn’t appear to have any leverage to request a starting role, he isn’t a disruptive person, the Rockets don’t mind paying him and, at worst, they can tell him to go home? Is a three-way trade with Ben Simmons looming? — Sagar P.

I wouldn’t necessarily use the word “endgame” here. That, to me, implies Wall has some sinister, calculated plan.

I really think Wall and the Rockets had an agreement prior to the season starting, and he was fine with it. That is, until he remembered how long an NBA season actually is and got somewhat antsy. Can you blame him? He may be making a boatload of money, but this is the game he’s played his whole life. This is the game he’s put hundreds of thousands of hours of blood, sweat and tears into. To have that taken away from you, especially when you’re healthy, is hard for anyone to swallow — even a multimillionaire. There has to be a sense of pride and ego involved.

Wall wants to play; he’s made that clear. The Rockets want to bring him off the bench and take it from there, rather than just throw him back into a lineup that’s learned to play without him. Ponder this: Regardless of where you stand on the Porter spectrum (I think he’ll be just fine here, for what it’s worth), Wood is playing arguably the best basketball of his career, and he’s doing it alongside a young guard in Porter who plenty of people had doubts about. There’s clearly something there worth extracting and developing.

I don’t see the merit in a Ben Simmons trade unless the Rockets are merely involved in the deal as a facilitator in a larger, multi-team situation, which I understand they’d do. I don’t think Houston wants Simmons, though. Simmons thinks he’s a point guard and, therefore, needs a team built around his skill set. The Rockets are trying to build around the Porter-Jalen Green backcourt and have their young core in place. And we haven’t even talked about whom they could possibly get in next year’s draft.

Wall is a good dude. He truly wants these young players to succeed and has done a lot to ensure they’re put in positions to do so. He’s also still a competitor at heart and is itching to get back on the floor and show the NBA world that he still can contribute to a winning team. The entire situation is just weird, man.

Use 3 - 4 team trades... still difficult, but not insanely impossible

I just looked at your trade, it wouldn't remotely work. You're having us give out 66.3m in salary (Wall, Gordon and House) and only bringing in 38.8m in salary (Simmons and Knox.) In what world does that work?

Has anyone bothered to just ask why we are holding this man's career hostage and we dont just buy him out? Is John refusing to negoitiate lower salary or is TIllman just too cheap?

You can parry informs with an outform, if you time the button correctly.

He could always agree to give up most of that money if he wanted to play that badly.

He's not dumb enough to give it up, he knows he's done as a player
