I would trade for Iggy and and Samuel D, and eat that contract with one more year on it. I used to really like Brand and appreciate what he was. We'll just have to agree to disagree, he is not worth that money and it would hurt us cap wise. Plus I wouldn't want him taking minutes away from Scolandry
If Philly does the deal it would mean they're rebuilding. So I'd expect them to ask for at least one young talent in the deal. I'm not sure if it works salary-wise but something like: McGrady and Landry for Iggy and Brand I don't think Dorsey, Taylor, Cook or even Battier will cut it. For most Rox fans, Landry would probably be the deal-breaker.
The thing is, you could play him at Center this year...Eventually Luis And Landry will be looking to get a raise as free agents which could change things... It is a provocative situation.

I wanted Brand pretty badly for a few years, I loved him as a player. He is still productive but at four more years with that contract it is not worth it IMO. That is star money and he just isn't that anymore

You finally hit on the reason I don't want Brand. With Brand we would have 6 pf's. I doubt the 76ers would take Cook & Dorsey, they'd probably want 1 or 2 of Scola, Landry & Hayes. That I wouldn't do. However I do think the 76ers are a viable trading partner for T-Mac. T-Mac, Dorsey, Cook & Ariza for Iggy, Dalembert & Kapono would do.
I like Iggy but he doesn't seem to be a Morey type of player, i.e. production exceeds pay. I don't see Morey giving guys who aren't max level players max $$.
