I just saw an episode of M*A*S*H from 1973, where he played a private who freaked out on Major Burns. One of his earliest TV appearences.

    R.I.P.

    I just can't believe it.

Once I heard the news, I called my two sisters and my mom. We grew up watching Threes Company. My sisters and I...NO JOKE...know every word to every episode. If you tell us to write down the script of a show, we could do it almost word for word.

And just last night, I went to bed seeing Jack lose his date to a guy that Terry and Janet were fighting over. I have seen it a thousand times. And I still laugh.

What a sad day. My absolute favorite show of all time. And I think it was the funniest show...I know its the funniest show I ever seen.

By the way, that whole show is cursed a little. The cast practically hate each other now and from the beginning there was trouble when Chrissy left the show just because she went and asked for the same money for the cast that MASH cast was getting(who by the way they beat consistently in the ratings). They do it all the time now. But I guess it was taboo back then for actors to do that. Mr. Roper passed. Mrs. Roper passed. Janet is alone and living with like 9 cats. Chrissy has breast cancer. Mr. Furley is either dead or just doing nothing. Where the hell is Larry now a days?

Man, this sucks. Two sad days in a row. :(

    RIP Jack
    RIP John Ritter.

    One last thing...

My generation grew up with him as "Jack" in Threes Company. Now, my 3 year old daughters generation was growing up with him also. He does the voice of Clifford. The Big Red Dog. My daughter just loves that show and has a HUGE big Red Dog in her room.

Now, the man passed away. I am truly saddened.

    Wow.

I've always enjoyed Three's Company and Ritter's role on that show. But just the other night I told my wife that I really liked him better as the more mature protective father of two young daughters. I thought that show had built a good bit of momentum.

From all accounts I've read he was very well-liked. Rest in peace, John. :(

Wow..Im surprised. I saw him doing an interview not too long ago, and he looked to be in good health.

I also grew up watching 3s Company, when I was a kid I thought he was the luckiest guy in the world.

I know Im in the minority on this one, but I enjoyed his role in the Blake Edwards film Skin Deep. The glow in the dark condom scene never fails to make me laugh.

    RIP John..:(

Sad news indeed. I liked Ritter in Stay Tuned, a thoroughly entertaining (but overall crappy) movie.

    So young, too... :(

I guess everyone on his new show is out of a job now...

I used to watch 3's company reruns as a kid and I really enjoyed 8 Simple Rules. Very sad.

Who would have thought Don Knotts, the 2nd landlord on 3's Company, would outlive Ritter?
