Most Violent.Movie.EVER! I cant remember the last time, if ever, I have seen a movie this violent. Made Normandy Beach in Saving Private Ryan look PG-13. Loved It. And I was all against Stallone making another Rambo. Sometimes, Its okay to be wrong.
Yep, I was expecting nothing from the film. Figured it'd be stupid. I didn't like his new Rocky Movie, and I figured this one was going to be lame too. But man, I was wrong...and surprised!
I hope not. There are lots of "aging action hero" roles that could sell. Remember all the great movies John Wayne made at the end of his career -- the aging gunslinger.
I saw this movie last night at Edwards Cinema off of I-10, when around the last 10 minutes of the movie, the fire alarm went off. Everybody had to evacuate the complex. After going back in the alarm went off again. Luckily we did eventually finish the movie, but they did give everybody free passes for another day. By the way I think the movie rocked, I cant remember the last action movie that was that graphic.
I was coming into the movie thinking "eh...he needs to just end this **** the way he wanted so we can go on and live our lives" well, not only did he produce, write and direct it the way he intended, he actually did a damn good job too! if theres anyone really skeptical about it, you should just watch it. it definitely has some slow parts but man....the moments where "im a badass and im john rambo" make up for it. woulda been nice to see more killing but for 90 minutes, it was worth it.
